  1. If that huge lump of goodness off the coast of Normandy hits Cornwall and I wake up to a Winter Wonderland in March, it'll make this Winter the most memorable for 30 years at least.
  2. Well for the 2nd time this year, it is snowing in Camborne, didn't think I'd be saying that in March. Very light snow at the moment, but it's something.
  3. Just looking at the radar I can see Mid Cornwall getting hit at the moment, just a little more drift to the West please.
  4. Wow, just seen the forecast for Monday and Tuesday next week. Actually predicting snow even in the far South West. And here was me thinking I wouldn't be back here until next November at the earliest. Bring it on
  5. You sure we are expected some light snow down here tomorrow Blizzards? In all it's been a bitterly disapointing Winter for us in West Cornwall I'd say, a light dusting on one day in January is all we have to show this year for our troubles.
  6. So that was winter for me, a dusting of snow, I should be grateful for at least seeing a snow flake this winter. Here's hoping for a 1976 style summer and hopeful for a better winter next season.
  7. Looking at the radar around Truro, unfortunetly it isn't going to last long, but very nice proper snow flakes now. I can almost believe it is Winter now.
  8. Just started lightly snowing in Truro at work at the moment, very fine powdery snow. Checked the radar and it's shown as rain.
  9. Just popped my head out the window and a light covering of snow. That'll do me at least I can say I saw some this winter. Going to take 11 month old Spaniel out in it in a bit see what she makes of it.
  10. At last, I have now seen my 1st snowflake in several years, thought it was never going to happen. Right enough of this snow watching lark, anyone reckon there'll be a heatwave this summer?
  11. Still nothing for me and I'm only 4 miles from Hayle, bloody snowshield again Seriously what has happened to the Netweather radar, does it stop working from time to time? Server needs a reboot or something?
  12. Looks like the Radar has stopped working down here, seems to have not updated for an hour, going outside to see if has reached Camborne now
  13. That front off Land's End has to be the slowest moving one in history, can't see it coming in until the small hours. Need to get tucked up, not expecting anything though, snow shields are fully operational here.
  14. I've lived in Cornwall all my life Blizzards over 40 years now and it's the same every bloody year, even when Devon is 6 feet deep in the stuff we generally miss out. The odd freakish event like the Prembrokeshire Dangler on Nov 25 2005 seems to be all we get. Anyway on the Radar, snowing in Mousehole, any 2nd home owner like to confirm
  15. Just been out in the back garden to empty some rubbish and for the 1st time this cold spell I have some ice. Looks as though the cold weather has finally arrived in West Cornwall. I was beginning to believe everyone up country was just making things up !!.
  16. This does look more promising, but I am still in the part of Cornwall that is forecast with rain from that. Be typical that I'll be in the only part of the country not to get any snow from this winter spell.
  17. I'll be the first to scream snow if it hits in Camborne, but alas not going to happen I'm afraid.
  18. Thanks, we are all frustrated down here that we are missing out, but hey we'll get another chance I hope. Enjoy it, you are in for something special.
  19. I'm tucking in for the night, it's been teeming down with rain for several hours now in West Cornwall and it's getting heavier. When this stuff hits the cold there is going to be a huge dumping of snow for you lot in Devon, Somerset, and further East, I'm so envious. Have fun in it tomorrow morning and take care.
  20. Raining quite hard now in West Cornwall, you guys eastwards are in for a treat tomorrow morning.
  21. I was hoping for another movement West in the charts today, alas looks as though that isn't going to happen now so it's just rain for us in West Cornwall. Going to be so envious of the rest of you in the region tomorrow, have fun and take care out there. Lots of photos as well please.
  22. Love it to keep going westwards, could be in with a shout then.
  23. It's very frustrating isn't it caz, so near yet so far. I've got my fingers crossed that there will be more events later on and we get to join in the fun.
  24. I'm getting more and more depressed reading this form. It is positively tropical here in West Cornwall. Just can't believe we down here can be so close yet so far away from all the fun and games coming.
  25. I've got my barbecue out ready for Friday, cold what cold, it's positively tropical in the real South West.
