    Blizzard conditions in Camborne at the moment, I was watching the forecasts on the Beeb this evening and lots of mention of the snow overnight in the Pennines and Wales but nothing on the South West. Well if this continues I can kiss goodbye going to work tomorrow, shame I haven't seen anything like this since the mid 80s.

    Started to snow again in West Cornwall after a two hour break, radar looks good, I'm unsure exactly what direction the prevailing conditions are coming from in my part of the world as an hour ago the radar had the precipitation ten miles off Land's End. Been a great day as this is really a very rare event in my neck of the woods.

    Heavy snow for the last hour in the Camborne area, drive home from Truro early was good fun. Looks like West Cornwall is actaully joining in the fun for once.

    Starting to snow heavily in Truro now :lol: Everyone starting to think about leaving the office for home. Last snow we had in Truro was Nov 25th 2005 and within half an hour the whole of Truro was gridlocked.

    Kumquat I'm getting reports from friends of colleagues at work that light snow is falling in various parts of Cornwall from Penzance to Bodmin, nothing major though. I'm in Truro working today and we have had a very very light fall of grainy snow about 1/2 hour ago but the skies are now turning increasingly grey so maybe something a bit more substantial coming.

    Just looked at the radar and it looked like Jersey would be missing out but now it covers all the Channel Islands. Also noticed the big blob west of Cornwall is so very close to touching the Isles of Scilly, now that would be an event if the Scilly isles got a white out.

    It's still reletively mild in the far South West, so I'm hoping for a real drop in temperatures over the next 24 hours otherwise I reckon this is just going to be another disappointing event.

    Torrential rain down here in West Cornwall for the last hour. Got the Bristol City v Wolves game on at the moment the conditions they are playing in look dreadful.
