    Very nice ECM that was nothing to be negative about the initial stage in getting the block going is looking good just the detail which needs to be resolved

    Isn' it possible that ECM, GEM is over doing the blocking whilst GFS is being to progressive with the Atlantic there for we end up somewhere between. UKMO might be the model to follow from now until we see better agreement.

    Snow everywhere already and coming down thick and fast and no sign of stopping shame this didn't happen a day earlier!

    You not using it on the iPad as I had to change the settings as it was on 15 min update by default

    Met office gets a 10 out of 10 for me literally started to turn at 10 and now it's snowing proper

    Wow what a way to bring back the westerlys! Just watched the wind go from calm to about 40mph gusts in a instant!

    I hope this metoffice forecast is right showing snow in a hour and then snow on and off for the rest of the day but i'm not confident on that! And look at the temperature contrast!

    Its these situations that make it worse when its snowing only 20 miles to are north probably less and cold rain down here and even if it does turn to snow it will never settle but for those that do have the snow enjoy it as it is the first proper snow event since January 18th 2013!
