Well that took me by surprise very heavy soft hail then turned into heavy snow and now light snow on back edge with a dusting everywhere.

-1.2°C falling fast now its -2.4°C to beat from last night not really going to be a problem at this rate!

-0.3°C after a high of 5.0°C thought it seemed a tad to high but was on par with most local stations.

Right we need to get planning permission to move that M4 south, its the worst phrase used for this region especially when its (Snow north of the M4)

As many have mentioned temps were lower around 6pm when it got down to 0.8C but its now gone up to 2.9C and has not really gone back down since we need to shift this cloud cover otherwise temps wont get anywhere near as low as forecast.

Its ok for you your on a hill so I would be feeling more optimistic if I was living where you are

Dew point is also important you can get temps of 2-3C and still have snow falling if the humidity is low enough.

Just remember people snow is very hard to forecast so even if its not looking good on one set of runs it could easily look better again on the next set, and last night was a good example of some surprises in some areas. Some bigger flakes in the mix for 5 mins now mainly rain, hail mix temps plummeted 2.7C

Afternoon All. After a cold and slushy start things improved during the morning with some winter sunshine, although the cloud has increased along with a strengthening south westerly wind. Temp 6.1°C, 83%RH, Dew P 3°C, 1002.8hpa falling rapidly. All eyes on how windy things will get across are region this evening and overnight, also with very saturated ground more rain isn't going to help, my garden grass has turned to mud because of how saturated it is!

Just got up ready for work and while I was waking up there was moderate snow falling outside still quite wet snow and only left a icy mess on my car! 0.9°C 95% Dew P 1°C More wintry showers heading this way as well.

Turned to snow now lovely and settling on top of cars but everything else it too wet.
