  1. Some much needed rain at last to soften the hard baked ground. Next week looks like it could be some chilly nights with mid to high teens in the day, just perfect
  2. So thankfully the big September heatwave never happened and hopefully we’ll now enter the long road to proper winter. It’s looking like we might get some decent rainfall this week to soften the ground and with all the wind it’s looking quite interesting.
  3. Kids football called off Rugby called off we need rain and lots of it.... I don’t give a monkeys if people want to top up their tan and walk around in flip flops, it’s mid September now so let’s have some seasonable weather. All the best Tom, have a great Day. Enjoy reading your posts.
  4. The only probem is the northern hemisphere has been so abnormaly hot because of global warming artic sea ice is at an all time historic low, so getting a build up of frigid winter air could soon be a thing of the past. Time will tell.
  5. Let’s hope so, the real stuff starts this weekend. Perfect weather today, pleasant in the low twenties and blue skies. If only all of summer could have been like this instead of the extreme heat.
  6. Unfortunately all clubs games called off this weekend due to the hot summer and painful lack of rain. Could really do with some decent rainfall now this month to even things up.
  7. I think you guys just need to accept that other people like other weather types that might not be your own preference. No need to jump on people when ever they mention wind, rain or cloud. Let’s not turn this into the MAD thread. I for one would like to see a bit of stormy wet weather and I work outside all the time, now’t wrong with that.
  8. Let’s hope so some lovely warm autumn days and frosty nights
  9. Lovely sitting in the garden after work, you can feel that the sun is starting to loose its strength and autumn is just around the corner. Bring it on
  10. Not too bad a day today, mostly cloudy but the sun did make a few appearances and it still felt pleasant enough. Can’t complain really after probably the best summer since 1976 and September is looking rather dry and pleasant, if not hot.
  11. At last some decent meaningful rain for the garden. Felt a little bit fresh out there today but it was nice to take the kids football training on a softer pitch.
  12. That wasn’t my point, I think you miss understood. We have the Azure’s high ridging in today as it’s forecast to do most of this week for mostly the southern half of Britain but look at the associated cloud that comes with it ? Any breaks in the cloud and good temperatures can obviously be reached but 9 times out of 10 we seem to get the Atlantic gloom mixed in. I Didn’t say in my post that it wasn’t ridging in.
  13. I think people are maybe over playing the influence of the Azure high ridging in. To me the pattern looks fairly flat through out the ECM run and what we finish with is not too dissimilar to what we have now, checks out window. According to some on here this weekend was going to be 27-28 pushing 30 but the reality is very different.
  14. It did get very warm last night, woke up in a right old sweat
  15. Great to see the colder 850’s at the end of the run, -16 uppers to usher in autumn as the heat belt gets squeezed back to the mid latitudes.
  16. Bognor !!! I might just do that, love butlins and the footy tournaments down there. Turned out a nice day today perfect British summertime weather, certainly nothing to cry about.
