well, there's nothing around me and the sun is shining, but something strange is going on.... steadily, over the last 10 mins, all 5 of our cats have come inside and settled to sleep. not seen hide nor hair of them while it's been nice weather over the last few days (except for meal times)

don't know what the current temps are, but we need a storm. it's muggy as hell here. it didn't help the fact that we had a very short, sharp rain storm about 2 hours ago and that's made it worse!!!

it 'twas hot 'raaand here tha knoes last neet anyways, this was in barnsley @6:56pm last night: so we definitely hit 30 yesterday, and it's going to be warmer today? phew!

absolutely cracking morning here in Sheffield. Sun's out, temps on the rise already. the cats are even indoors as the suns to warm for them

in the middle of an extremely heavy hail storm (bouncing like crazy) and just had a rumble of thunder!

Nice to see the eastern side getting something. This is why from an IMBY point of view, I hate northerlies The PPN has to be very heavy to reach this far inland (right on the edge of the Peak District, by the Woodhead Pass)

very heavy at the moment here in Penistone (north-west Sheffield) Been at it for half hour, and things are coming to a standstill NW has us only having snow now and again today, but MO have us showers/ heavy snow all day ps: just starting to slow down a bit now.

Looks like no more than a few showers overnight. Went to bed last night with the road outside covered, with just 2 faint tire tracks. Now the road is completely clear... Forecasts have us for snow all day, but a max of 43% probability

on our way home, it got steadily heavier. almost a whiteout at 1 point saw 5 separate flashes, didn't hear anything though now home, about 1.5cm on the bin lid, snowing heavily still

Just sat at Hemingfield now, it's throwing it down with hard pellets. not quite hail, but not soft enough for graupel Edit: is leaving a white film on the road though. Could get slippy!

Arrived and the temperature on the car read out is 2c, it was flickering between 0-1 over peni way

I'll grab a thickness reading in the morning when I go out to clear the car off. It's been snowing almost constant for over 24 hours now, so it should be a decent depth (still snowing now too!)

yeah, the roads got quite bad at one point. but the gritters are now out, finally working! glad you're home safe

Just been out and about for a walk. I love it after a fresh snowfall very light, fine stuff still falling
