  1. LOL *high fives Matt* I agree, tis like a bun fight in here sometimes. It's only snow guys, it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen. Bring on Spring I say, new born lambs, walks in woods and on beaches, beer by canals and sunshine! Yes, I am snowlagged!
  2. Just had notification that I am back to work tomorrow. Thank the Lord! Time to get off this forum and do some work. See y'all later. Enjoy radar watching.
  3. I personally do not think this is over yet. I have nothing on which to base this on other than gut feelings and my fir cones! lol I actually want this all to go away now, I need to get back to work, I want my life back and I am planning on a little shopping trip to Bristol next Saturday. Nothing must get in the way of me and a cocktail in Harvey Nicks Sorry, I think it is probably time for me to leave the snow lovers thread.
  4. Robnor, I am sure this must be very frustrating for you, being forecast snow, then 5 minutes later no snow...but the forecasts are changing for everyone all of the time, severe weather warnings downgraded/upgraded and I think a lot of us are getting fed up. But, from the very little I know about weather forecasting snow is very much a nowcast situation, what shows on the radar isn't neccessarily what falls from the sky, being surrounded by hills can affect it, temps obviously affect the snow. I am sure snow must be every forecasters nightmare as there is no way to specifically state in which town it will fall. Please tell me if I am talking rubbish. Oh and for someone who said they wouldn't use the radar for longer than a few weeks a year, you can buy a subscription for one month, it's only about £3, I hhave to say though that I have become a little obsessed with it, plus it keeps showing snow for me and then I look out of the window and nothing is falling.
  5. What have I missed? No snow here but my goodness the pavements are thick ice, as I don't have ice skates in my handbag I decided to get a taxi home for the 10 minute walk from the pub. How lazy! No snow here, just bitterly cold, a very cold wind and a lot of people falling over. I am pleased to say that I was not one of them...yet!
  6. Poor man has been at work for hours! lol Right now I have a forecast to show off with it is definately pub '0 clock.
  7. Off to the pub. This is all way too annoying so instead of radar watching I will sit by the window. Have fun y'all. I will try not to post any drunken rants about the weather later on.
  8. Ian said snow, light powdery snow. Is it wrong to say that he looked quite cute in glasses and a bit more casual?
  9. Regional forecast on TV at 12.10 on BBC. Be interesting to see what they have to say.
  10. Radio Bristol/Somerset has just said that there will be snow tomorrow, winds, drifts, cold, brrrrrrr Sorry, can't tell you who the forecaster was as I only zoned back in when I heard the word weather.
  11. Well I need to go to bed, late night last night! Can someone please let me know if I am building a lion or an ant in my garden on Monday? Thanks Night all xxx
  12. Oh! Looks like my snow zoo will have to turn into a model village then!
  13. Absolutely! I just want to know if we are going to have snow lying on Monday as my friend and I have models planned for an ice zoo in my garden. He is starting with a giraffe and I am starting with a lion, we will build on from there.
  14. He and Mr Angwin are singing the weather girls on Karaoke as we type! Ban me! LOL...I know, cheeky Beggar!
  15. I like to imagine he is in a club, very drunk and dancing to a bit of Abba
  16. Awww lovey, I feel your pain. That lot went right round over the top of me and didn't drop a thing! Gawd, my weather forecasts are looking poor now without Ian's to plagarise.
  17. Will do! Ooooh Jim Beam, lovely chap! Not a big fan of Jack Daniels, he once did bad things to me.
  18. I am currently having a meeting with my goof friend Blossom Hill. We would never have met if I had remembered to buy milk for myself when I went shopping for the oldies. I may need to move on to my good friend Mr Grouse, although I fear tomorrow mornings hangover from hell if I do this! Welcome Kent.
  19. It is quiet, I am keeping my mouth shut for a change! I am reading, radar watching, forum lurking, playing poker on FB and watching TV. Multi-tasking supremo here.
  20. Looking at the radar I would say about 7.45. But don't trust me, I am a total novice.
  21. A young lad at our local Co-op decided to be helpful and duly went out with buckets of hot water and a brush to get rid of the snow and ice. It was like dancing on ice. It is -1 here according to the car and getting much colder. Also think I am about to get a little more snow, well the sky certainly tells that story anyway.
  22. Always! Did the site just crash for anyone else? I could not get on for love nor money
  23. Depends on the date, I am a commited teacher donchyaknow! Jazz, isn't that all Jamie Cullum, looking cool, drinking JD and smoking big cigars? Thanks Mum (Don't think quotes are my thing)
  24. Yes good cheese. I have never been to the Gorge, I should be ashamed shouldn't I! Cricket, good for a giggle on a summers day. Ahh Jenson will keep that title so nerrrr Size does matter! Everyone knows that Weston was superior to Burnham. Clarkes village is rubbish. There endeth my opinion on Somerset. Although no mention of the best festival in the world Ian?
  25. I am led to believe that St Austell now has a Domino's pizza with home delivery! 2010 is your year Don1, delivered food will come to soon my child! I love Cornwall, what you lack in home delivered food is made up for in fresh seafood, fabulous beaches and amazing countryside, also lovely people in my experience.
