  1. Well, they call it Thai. It has Thai curry being served on one side and kebabs on the other. Ian off of the tele, go on...do it! Dare ya!
  2. For that I will forgive you the banning comments! Thanks for sticking up for me slb97. Jonesy we will make your group grow!
  3. That atlantic cider front is really going to mess things up. I have looked at the charts for Feb and I can see a warm front coming in. I think we are going to see temps reaching about 30c. Bring on the heat and the sunshine! Jonesy: I have become a fan of yours on facebook. Awesome! Disclaimer: We have nothing to talk about at the moment do we. Tomorrow we can talk about the weekends snow event, for now we must entertain ourselves. Please don't ban me. Thank you
  4. I think you're ramping it now slb97, I have to be honest with you. It is only -11 here next to my compost bin, which is also in the left hand corner of my garden. I fully expect it go to -20 after the next ghz, flc and atb runs, but only if the meto agree It is infact 77. Sky news are currently reporting from all around the country about this issue so please keep up!
  5. Lets just make up random numbers then to confuse and annoy people.
  6. Oooh yours sounds much nicer than mine. No option to plug in the iPod and we only have individual tv's on the running machines. For bikes, cross trainers (evil...which freak invented those?), rowers etc we can plug in and watch the screens on the wall.
  7. I'm a 40 year old woman at the gym, in the evening. Do you not think my life is depressing enough?
  8. Frustrating isn't it! To be fair I only joined for the steam room and sauna, it's my treat for actually running on a running machine. Does your gym have tv's? What a fabulous invention! Plug in the headphones and before you know it you have run a couple of kms and watched Corrie Back tot he weather. I would love to put something temp wise now but I have no idea so I am going to make one up so it looks as if I have something of value to add to this thread. -20! Yes I am shocked.
  9. LOL I know the one you mean. Saw him live in Bristol, I think I laughed for about 3 days afterwards. You know that random laugh when you suddenly get a flashback and it is always somewhere highly inappropriate to do so, like funeral or something.
  10. Tell that to the national strategies and the gov't who tell me that I have 6 weeks of Numeracy to teach in possibly 4 weeks. I know it may seem daft to some. but all professions have deadlines, things they have to do/cover and teaching is no exception. I bet the kids are having a fabulous time! Also, I am bored. Although I am a complete weather junkie I actually don't like snow, it stops me shopping and going to the pub. Although my brave friend did drive me to the gym today to stop me going stir crazy. Not good at sitting down. Anyway, back tot he weather...
  11. No need to apologise Ian. As someone with elderly parents I can see the problems the snow can bring. My dad who lives in Cornwall will run out of his medication in 2 days time, there is little I can do about it, luckily he has good mates and although very independant, he has assured me that he will ask for help tomorrow. Also as a primary school teacher who has just had 2 weeks off school I am bored and I want to get back to it, I know...I am sad! but I'm worrying about the lessons the children are missing and the fact we will have to catch up. But on a positive note, I walked into school Tuesday morning and seeing all of the children playing, laughing and having a brilliant time gave me a warm glow. Thanks again for all of your input in the southwest thread. Now get some sleep man! I feel you will need to be well rested before Sunday hits us.
  12. Thanks for your help and patience. I feel this is something that is going to take me a long time to learn. It is very pink around me at the moment, but only like a pebbledash type of thing. Ian. Thank you for all your advice these past few days. It has enabled me to warn my elderly parents and to show off to my friends
  13. I have subscribed to the radar. I now need to kiss goodbye to my life don't I! Every little bit of yellow coming near me I am getting excited and looking out of the window. I don't even understand what it means
  14. I am only down the road from you and as I said previously the sky looks full of it, dark heavy clouds orangey tinge. Though I am only looking at rain today radar. I think I need to get Netweather one, especially if we are looking to take a pasting at the weekend.
  15. The sky looks absolutely full of snow but nothing on the radar. I keep looking out of the window expecting a pasting, even though my sensible radar looking side says it ain't gonna happpen.
  16. Can someone please clarify for me if the snow coming down from Birmingham is likely to give Somerset another going over? Thanks. I do not have access to the radar or I would look myself.
  17. Thankyou rockhopper! Its now snowing in somerset, bridgwater
  18. Someone please tell me that Somerset is going to get snow. An a** of an ex friend is being really nasty about my *forecasting* skills. Oh how I would love to comment on his FB post tomorrow morning.
  19. Please don't confuse me with anymore just yet! Still nothing. We have had that orangey sky now since nightfall.
  20. Thanks again Matt. I tried to google but it gave me nothing. This weather watching has really caught my imagination. When all of the excitement has died down and there is nothing much to talk about on here then I will come back and try to learn all of this properly. A very light flurry here but nothing on the ground and nothing to write home about.
  21. Thanks Dartmoor Matt. See, I knew I would show my ignorance. I now need to go and do some learning about ppn. Still nothing near me but I am keeping the faith.
