Just seen the B.B.C. News 24 Weather forecast it's beginning to look very interesting from Tuesday onwards at last they have read this forum.

Yes I will do that and if it happens you can be my reference when I apply to the B.B.C. Weather Dept.

In my estimation the armageddon Snow event will begin at precisely 12.03 and 36 seconds on Wednesday afternoon here :lol:, seriously I believe in what the more experienced members are saying on here the heavy snow will hit the SE on Wednesday probably showers from Monday onwards. The depth of the snow will be more localised but a blanket of snow from 5cm upwards to 20cm will be more likely.

Can any of the more experienced on here tell me if the current weather chart is very similar to that 1 of the winter of 1978 or better?

I hope the B.B.C. dont use your description of the possible Snow event of next week or they will be panic in the SE lol.

We have had our share of snow here but im now very confident of plenty more to come by next Wednesday.

I have been updating on the forum with intense interest during the past 3 days, if you guys are right it will be a very interesting week ahead. The coldest and deepest Snow winter in my lifetime was back in 1978 when I lived in the North East, just thinking if 5 cm of Snow brings chaos down here in the SE I can't begin to imagine what will happen with even heavier snowfall and a long cold spell. I remember back in 78 when the Newcastle area was cut off from the rest of the country for 12 hours it may happen again up in the NE soon according to the amount of snow there. I just hope that if it happens here in the SE people are warned by the Met. Office in plenty of time, or will it be nowcasting again on here . I don't take much notice of the TV forecast now I log into this forum if I want to know the weather, thanks to you more experienced guys you have been right so far along with Rob from the B.B.C. of course.:lol:

Moderate to heavy Snow now in Hertford probably an hours Snow, we have had Snow on every event this week very lucky or un-lucky some would say.

I'm lamppost wathing out of my window from my P.C. and now it's turning into larger flakes from sleet and the temp. has dropped so hopefull of a little more Snow but Hertford is in a valley.

Sleet in Hertford, will it turn to Snow? What's the current temperature in St. Albans, the earlier Snow started to melt but now forming ice and freezing over again?

All the folk on here from Herts. area are realy getting excited tonight with more snow heading this way calm down lads. lol Woohooo

Yes I only posted what he said, 'well then's there is Monday' ha ha ha so only he knew what was coming like some 1 said earlier the met office have to agree on a forecast, this was most likely Rob's little warning in a personal way, I did not get suckered in ha. ha .ha

Well if every 1 had of taken note of Rob's forecast on the B.B.C. from Thursday night it would of not came as a surprise.

I recall in 1999 the temperature was sub zero here in Hertford for around 9 days however no snow fall during that period, but I agree over the last 4 years winter snow seems to be here for days in Herford rather than hours def. a change in the weather patterns.

Look out for a man with blonde hair on his bike with a trailer attached and full of grit, he will be held responsible again I bet lol.

Yes it's forecast to sink back towards us between 3 a.m. - 6 a.m. could be another 2 inches on top of all this.

Nice Pic. Would you know if the Snow is set to return to us in Hertford and Ware, by all the reports so far we are going to get more ?

It started off as sleet here half hour ago but now its turned to Snow and starting to settle.

Do you think East Herts. will get some snow then because I'm also quite close to Radlett?
