  1. Hertfordshire Hedgehogs: Be prepared for the 1 cm of Snow lol, imo if it does the turnaround we could well be in the firing line too early to call yet, keep watching the radar.
  2. Well, well where have all the prozac members gone lol? What a difference a few hours makes then Kold, we were watching the radar during the early hours which was very interesting to say the least. Just want to congratulate you on your spot on forecast, more likely to move East you said, but as we know this could all change in the net 4-5 hours but now it looks more certain that even the Far Eastern area of our region will get some snow, well done.
  3. So places not that many places , sorry I need a new hearing aid, like I said couldnt believe my ears.
  4. She said a foot and a half in many places, I couldnt believe my ears. Even if we don't get that here in Herts. it will be amazing to see that tomorrow in England when was the last time of that amount 1978? I just hope that people now are taking the warnings seriously and are very careful. Folk on this forum were aware days ago about this but the B.B.C. have been slow to issue warnings imo. I want to but hope no deaths occur out of this extreme weather.
  5. Best wait until Kold logs in he did say its a battle of the lows and he thought the expectations on the low to the South would bring Snow to many parts of the SE on the turnaround, I don't think it will be rain more inland certainly the cold will intenseify in the next 24 - 48 hours.
  6. It's all swings and roundabouts but I expect Hertfordshire will get a fair amount if it's a swing roundabout us.
  7. Has any 1 noticed that Sky News reporters are now quoting the depth of the Snow in inches and not cm s now ? I wonder if they will use Kentimetres later tomorrow. lol
  8. It was a very marginal move East and Kold did tell us that if it happened most of the Northern and Western Home Counties would be in the frame for Heavy Snow, the move East was obvious to the radar watchers during the night, I did post it around 3 a.m. this morning on the thread. Like many forecasters it's a case of Nowcasting in the main but the run looks set for the rest of the day as forecasted on the Sky weather and BBC now.
  9. The North and Western home Counties will be badly affected including Herts. but the forecast looks good also for the Far Eastern side in the next 48 hours with heavy showers filtering in off the North Sea. KoldWeather was RIGHT it has moved slightly Eastwards, I was up until 4 a.am. this morning posting on here watching the radar and there was a disturbance in the more South Westerly direction. I t's a battle of the Low today but either way it looks good for the SE Eastern and Northerly Home Counties.
  10. Good morning, Sky weather just said up to a foot of Snow in some of the home Counties by morning, yes it has moved to the East as a few thought it would on here.
  11. Well I'm off 2 bed too, I'm sure most parts of the SE will have some snow by the weekend, looking forward to tomorrow from 5 pm onwards in my neck of the woods will it turn that much East or fizzle out? Battle of the low day, Goodnight all oh and Kold great confidence in your forecasts as always.
  12. I travelled into WGC the day after the snow it did look a cm or 2 deeper there, nevermind the kids I enjoy playing out in the snow my-self and I'm 45 lol
  13. Well we had a central heating overhall down here in September just aswell not used it much here lol, yes they have it quite bad up in Durham as usual but not as bad on the coast. Mind you we have had some good falls here in recent weeks in Herts. aswell. Could be a lot more by tomorrow evening I hope.
  14. They are starting to get nervous on the Central thread, pulling towards more of the East Midlands now, could be, could be.
  15. Well the main band certainly looks like it's heading East to me, wait and see, wait and see Kold you could be right about the Easterly afterall.
  16. Aye I'm originally from up there, South Shields like lol, bookmarked camera. lol
  17. Mmm watching the radar and spreading down quite fast, imo it looks marginly a bit more Easterly direction now, you could be right you know Kold I think you are, oh and if you want to watch the snow now here try this. http://www.tynebridg...m.com/north.htm sorry above poster already posted Toon link.
  18. Me thinks it's time for a more localised London/Beds. Herts. and Bucks thread lol
  19. The Shaferknacker forecast must go down in history as 1 of the worst on record, South East, South East. I wonder what he will say next in next Sundays 'I got it wrong' of course he wont he is a weather forecaster. He may have learnt a lesson out of this... edit: Just looked at the latest chart Friday is back on, dont panic Mr. Shaferknacker your job is as safe as the Snow in the South East.
  20. I totally agree with you a few mile shift East and part of the Region will be in the frame for this, not much to change its direction makes interesting radar watching imo.
  21. B.B.C. South East a dusting of Snow for London and Home Counties.:lol::lol:
  22. It doesn't look good for us in Hertfordshire does it, just a few showers, our luck has ran out.
  23. What I understand the SE will get a better wrap around later tomorrow evening is that correct?
  24. Now I'm beginning to understand just watced the B.B.C. forecast and basically this is what you are saying thankyou very much.
