snow has picked up as have the winds.

gone back to very light snow. was a bit heavier earlier on but has died off a bit. but its still snow none the less and we do have a dusting on most surfaces!

Hello everybody! Hopefull for tomorrow!! Few flurries in the air now....what are we expecting to happen tomorrow then?? How do you think East Lancashire will fare?

Bet this was the organised band of showers that came in around the Lancaster/Morecambe area which have broken up and died before they have even hit me and the little bit which has survived has drifted just north of me. Looked quite heavy on the radar but as soon as it hit land it just died.

I think the PPN has all but broke up as the large orange cloud now is hardly there and I haven't had any PPN as of yet and it was very close to me about 20mins ago and nothing.

noooo. the front of that shower has died just before hitting me. hopefully the main bigger shower wont do the same.

These showers dont look too far away now according to radar!! Hopefully won't be long and will hopefully will fall as snow!! Can see the notorious orange clouds!!

Is it on track to hit me? looks to be but i only have the normal raintoday radar!

According to raintoday radar some showers have lined up around the Morecambe/Lancaster area and are heading directly for me. Hopefully will be a nice top up of snow if they hit!

Well Well where did this snow come from? Just woken up to it now! Got quite a bit! Just spoke to my mates who went into town last night and said taxi's were off at one point cause of the snow! Another surprise

Met office has me down for snow from 6am-12pm tomorrow too. We shall see!

Woke up to snow this morning which had covered all surfaces. gone off the road now but very slushy but still all over the cars. How did everyone do in our region?

if the ppn makes it this far what time do you think it will make it here? BT and other's in the south of our region I hope it comes off as whatever you get will give me an idea what I could expect!

Looks like the band isn't losing much intensity over the welsh mountains according to the raintoday radar which is good news if true. Hopefully it will make it this far! Probably end up being rain mind you!

Wales thread reporting rain and lightening.......does mean much to us? are the NW's temps and dp similar to Wales? I really want some snow! Surprisingly from somewhere there are little piles of snow (really small) at the side of some of the pavements. don't have a clue where that came from as at work only 5 miles away it was just rain all day! Got home about 5.30 and little bits of snow on the ground! not much though! The roads and pavements outside look icy tonight! Car frosted up few hours ago....fingers crossed

Your right just had a look on raintoday! Hopefully it won't break up! Although will it fall as snow or rain?

Evening. We had one of the heaviest hail/snow showers ive seen in time today this morning round about 8am just covered everything so quickly and turned my usual 20min journey to work into 1 hour with all the hail/snow covering the roads was manic!! showers have been on and off all day but actually had PROPER snow round about 4pm which was nice to see!

Evening all. Just wondering what my chances are for any snow tonight/tomorrow? Its wild out there to say the least!

Had an intense hail shower about 5.15 which really pelted down and put down a covering of hail down on the roads and pavements which is still lying around now! My car wipers couldnt keep up with the intensity of it! Apart from that mainly been sleet/hail showers most of day on and off.

Nothing for me this morning it must of rained overnight if i had any showers. ..Hopefully today/tonight will bring more! Least I had some snow last night which im happy with!

What would your prediction be for Blackburn area East Lancs for any further snow or accumalations? I have already had a little bit of snow tonight and there is a covering on the cars but nothing on pavements/roads etc. Thanks

Everything stopped for me at the moment. just the slightly dusting on the cars for me at the moment! What are my chances of anything for later on tonight and tomorrow? Thanks
