Desperate for a storm in notts, absolutely melting here!

Hey everyone! I’ve been following this thread all day whilst getting significantly hotter by the hour! Temps built to 30 here in south notts but we still have sunshine and little cloud cover although it’s become much more muggy and humid now. Any idea of what I can expect this evening and overnight by way of storms?

Think I’m going to drive to work tomorrow, getting the bus today just tempted fate for no snow!!!

According to Accuweather temp here is 3 and DP 1, The bonus of being off work recovering from an op is that I can stay up all night long watching the window!!!

Anybody else in here from Notts / Derbys??

Hey All!! I'm in Long Eaton Notts/Derbys border. I've been following the model thread all week and am sooooo excited for some snow!!! Its just been raining quite a sharp shower here, and a friend of mine in Derbyshire has just had thundersnow! So, heres hoping!!!

Yeah, its pretty much gone now Ah well, what little we had was unexpected so a nice little surprise!!

had a quick dusting at around 7pm, lasted about half an hour then stopped and had nothing since !!

Evening all!!! Well, I checked the charts at lunchtime today and it was (was) looking so nice for tomorrow night into Wednesday and through Wednesday - I've just checked them again and it just looks pants!!!!! Sooooo disheartening - we get all worked up, shot down, worked up again, and shot right back down again!!!! grrrrr!!!!!

Hey everybody!!! :-D Heres hoping for some snow!! I'm in Nottingham (south of Nottingham in Long Eaton) and see that the majority in here are West Mids!! I do hope some snow gets to me, I've been watching the ever changing charts!! But I see that there is lots of wowing at MetO forecasts so I suppose I'd better pop over there and have a look too!! Oh, and I shall be on wine tonight :-D

Had a lull again, but starting to fall again - fingers crossed it picks up :-D

Evening all!!! Nothing too much to report from Nottingham at the moment, had a burst of heavy rain about an hour ago, and the skies have gone pretty dark now, cant really say I can hear any rumbling, and no real rain to speak of at the moment. Just had a look at rain today and it looks as though the heavier, more exciting stuff is passing to the west of me, however, there looks to be some more juicy stuff coming after this initial lot so fingers crossed that will hit me (not literally though, already had my house struck twice before knocking out the telly once and the phone another time!!! Am earthed now so hopefully it won't 'strike a third time!!)

I'm in Long Eaton, its been snowing small flakes all day today, and still is now (curtains open and lampost watching!) Woke up to white roads and puppy school cancelled - so had a lovely walk with the puppy on the fields!! I was expecting that it would stop, but the roads are starting to get covered again, albeit lightly - should I expect more snow overnight?

Evening all!!!! I've been really dissappointed today It's been trying to snow here (Long Eaton Notts) all day, then started to sleet this aft, now got some snowflakes but nothing much to report and nothing sticking.
