Rain/sleet here now - I think its trying to turn

rain/ice falling from the sky here!!! the ice has made a pretty covering on the paths, but no snow yet

We've even got weather girl Sian Lloyd following us lol!! I did just see a big flake fly past - only one mind!! Yes, it is gutting, but, good to know i can drive to work tomorrow!!

Just started snowing here in Long Eaton (NG10) very small flakes, am hoping it will pep up and give us a nice covering!

hey everyone! No snow here in long Eaton yet, but I'm hoping, anyone got any idea if I will see any tonight and how much? I had been expecting it to snow from about lunchtime!

Had a nice covering here today. All day I was cursing thinking, these tiny flakes - doing nothing, but, oh how glad am I I took the bus!!! by the time I was coming home the roads were pretty poor!! But I was loving it!!! Looking forward to any more that comes our way

Evening all!!!! What a lovely surprise this afternoon!!! A few flakes at about 3pm, turned into some steady, if light, snowfall which lasted till about an hour ago, there is still the odd flake around in the air though Side roads and pavements have a nice little dusting on them now!! I'm getting ready for tomorrow though! Any idea what the accumulations are likely to be? I'm really thinking, it's gonna look ok in the morning for travelling to work, but I think I'm not going to drive tomorrow!!! No point in getting stuck!!!!

I'm only a Novice, but, having looked at the charts tonight, they have done the same as they did last night. The first set I looked at were great, and after the run, they were good - but not as great as the first lot. The same has happened again tonight, and we all know that snow is always more about radar watching and (s)Nowcasting than anything else!! So, I, for one, am still looking forward to Friday!!! On another note, all this cold and snow is getting me proper prepared for my (first ever time abroad) trip to Iceland in a few weeks - yey!!!!

Ooooooo, Nice to see the East/West Mids split Had steady snowfall all morning today from about 10 - 1, it settled, and then went a bit slushy, which does make walking around in it a bit difficult!!! Curtains are closed tonight so I can't see whats happening at the lampost (I could get up and have a look, but I really can't be bothered!!!!) I'm not really banking on anything very much here now over the next few days, I just know it's gonna be icy tomorrow and cold all week brrrrrr!!!!!

Thanks for the 'like'!! Yeah, thats why, in every post for snow, I always say its more about nowcasting than forecasting, I really dont wanna get caught out!!! But people seem to like it so thats all good!! STILL no snow where I am though!!!!

The cat has decided its cold enough to come in! Its not snowing here, but I have reports of snow in central nottingham!

Just been outside to try and find the cat, and.....................nothing here yet, not even the cat, not quite cold enough for her to want to come in yet then! Still watching my lampost

I sooooooooooooooo want snow!!! It will only be the second time the puppy (nutter) has seen it!!! But looking at it, it looks like it will be Monday - when I'm at work - doh!!!
