Evening everybody!!!!!!! Well, the snow has all gone from here, my boiler is fixed, I am warm again, and I just cannot get excited about this band of snow!!! I just don't think it will get to the sunny climes that are Long Eaton!!!!! Much like all the heavy snow they predicted for the weekend jut fell as sleet!!!!!!! Though I would happily be pleasently suprised if the snow did decide to hang on and give us a small dumping lol!!!!!!!!!! That has sooooooooooooo made me laugh!!!! snizzle, drizzle, mizzle lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brill!!!!! No, I didn't see the warning, but then they keep on changing them so I am starting to not believe them!!!!!!! Fab, looks like I may have a snow day on Monday and stay at home then lol!!!! Hope we do get loads, these little flakes floating about in the wind are driving me nuts!!!!! lol!!!! Heres to a great BIG snow event tomorrow then!!!!!

yeah, I'll bet loads of people are having probs at the mo with their boilers. What angered me even more though was British Gas!!!! We ran out of gas (am on a horrid pre-payment thingy) so I went to put the emerg on and it said 0 available!!!!! I reckon it was because they are all on about people not using gas!! But what if I was 80yrs old and couldn't get out to the shop to get any credit because of the ice/snow??!!!!! Soooooooooooo Angry Anyways, off for a ciggie now (out the back to play in the snow lol!!!!!) and will be back soon!!!! Whats the chances of snow tomorrow? and how much? Fom the latest reports it seems to be looking good!!!

Combi Boiler, one of the valves has gone But luckily a friend of mine who is a plumber came over and says he can get the part for Monday, so fingers crossed! In fact, everything else crossed now just to keep warm lol!!!!

Hey All!!!!! Heres my technical snow report from the depths of Long Eaton, twas snowing when I got up this morning, then stopped all day, then it has just been floaty snow since about 3pm, nothing accumulating, but very pretty all the same!! As for the temperature......................I AM FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boiler packed up last night so I now have no heating and no hot water arghhhhhh!!!!!! and it won't be fixed till Monday - arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! though I have just ordered and eaten a very hot curry which has helped my mouth keep warm, and am washing it down with some alcohol, which might keep me a little bit warm too!!!!!!!!! So, whats the news for tomorrow, is there any snow coming this way??!!!!!

Lol!!! the lemonade just means I can drink for longer before feeling too drunk!!!! lightweight lol!!!!! Well fingers crossed for some more tonight and tomorrow in any case!!!! Just hope I get my heating fixed tomorrow too ol!!!!!!

Hey all!!!! Funky Friday it is then, and a snowy one too!!!! whooppeeee!!!!!! Got home from work at 5.30, it just started snowing and then came down really well, stopped about half hour ago, it's left a nice covering all over, not disimilar to Tuesday night, will it snow again tonight though, thats my question!!!!!!!!

Lol!!! Pooh Bear (the dog) loves the snow, although hates the rain and cold!!! she was out in it earlier with my other half so we've got some pics of her on the fields, soooooo sweet!!!!!!! But yes, adverse weather - I love it!! lol!! give me a good snowstorm, thunderstorm or heat wave and I am a happy bunny!!!!!!!

Lol!!!! I trust me, I just don't really trust others on the roads!!!!!! I am a very good driver believe me, besides, at least I get to watch the countryside in a blanket of snow from the sheer comfort of the bus lol!!!! I heard ilkeston had a bit, and I think it was much the same down here, Tuesday nights downpour was fab, but now it is just like compact ice everywhere!!!!! It would be great if we get a decent amount over the weekend, all I want to do is run about with the dog in the fields in the snow lol!!!!!

Helloooooo Everybody!!!!! Good to see some more Notts people on here!!! I'm in Long Eaton and we didn't get too much snow, but enough to put me off driving to work for the rest of the week lol!!!!! so an hour and a half each morning on the bus it is!!!!!! Earlier in the week there was talk of a big event for Friday night, is this what is now predicted for Sunday/Monday? Are we in for a good dumping, or a light flurie??!!!!!!!

V. cold here but not checked the temp! sooooooooo not looking forward to trecking to work tomorrow, snow is fun, but ice is horrid, got a lift home tonight and had to take little baby steps for the bit that I did walk which then took twice as long as usual and I nearly went over twice lol!!!!!!!

What I would really like is more snow RIGHT NOW!!!! lol!!!!!!!! Although, that said, it's so pretty, but going to work in it is a nightmare, especially when it ices over!!!!!!

Hi All!!!! Wow, what a day!!!! though I did end up going to work Very very icy out there now so a treacherous walk to the bus stop in the morning!!!!!!!!!!! What I want to know is, is there going to be another big event? At the beginning of the week there was talk of a huge chunk of snow coming down from the north, but on latest forecasts they don't seem to be saying anything. Any ideas anyone?!!!!

lol!!! well I used to work in Beeston and that would be far easier to get to, but I work over in Leicestershire now, and refuse to risk the roads!!!! as for the bus, well, it would take forever, !!!!!!!! Permission taken, and therefore I think stay at home with the dog is a great idea!!! lol!!!!! Still snowing here, quite fast but small flakes, But I want more lol!!!!!!!!

Yeah, we are about the same, I'm over the other side in Long Eaton, small, lots and persistant flakes!!!! It's great, definatley not driving tomorrow, and doubt I will bother with the bus, last time it snowed earlier in the year ot took hours on the bus to get to work, so think I will probably go for a snow day!!! Really hoping that it has set in for the night now lol!!!!

Yup, still snowing NG10, small flakes but a reasonable covering. Where in Notts is NG5? Is that the other side of the City, Arnold way?

This may sound daft, and I havn't look at the radar yet (and I am far from knowledgable!) But I look at the snow risk chart and over the mids it is showing reds and pinks (meaning snow and heavy snow) from now right through to about midday tomorrow. Is this right? Or am I too hopeful?!

Whooooohoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have snow in NG10!!!!! It has been snowing since about 4.30pm and has quite nicely covered the ground and the cars!! (it also covered the cat, but she's safe indoors now!!!) It keeps going to really small flakes (hardly seen even via the lampost) But I am hoping that it wont give up!!!! Definatley not driving to work tomorrow, if I go in at all, my bus takes a very windy(windey?!!) route and I think it would probably take about 2-3hrs to get there!!lol!!! So a snowy walk with the dog on the fields first thing tomorrow (pooh bear, you ARE going for a walk!!!!!!) - yippeeeeeeee!!!!!

Met Office seem unsure, tv forecasts (although I havn't seen any this evening) seem unsure, and now I am unsure as to whether to drive to work tomorrow or get the bus!!!!!!!!!!!!!
