Snow = sNOWcasting!!!!

Is it so wrong that I like extreme weather?! Mega rain and really really strong winds yesterday in Notts. Then today, so sunny and nice - almost reminded me of a cold day after a snowy day, and speaking of snow......hmmmmm...... I wonder if we really really are gonna get any on whats supposed to be coming our way - I sure hope so!!!

All fairly quiet here today. It rained, a lot, but steady constant rain, not the torrential downpours I was expecting. It stopped at about 3.30pm and hasn't rained again since. Can we expect the East mids (notts) to be hit by any more?

Just got back from a drive out and been catching up on the thread!!! Still raining here, nothing major, but has been steady and constant since about 3pm. Winds moderate, again, nothing major, but looking forward to seeing whats gonna pack in over the next 24hrs or so!!!

no rain here yet, from looking out of the window i'd say that the winds are starting to pick up, and have just checked Raintoday - looks as though the rain is about an hour south of me at the moment! EEk, I havn't taken the puppy for his walk yet, and can't until the dinner is cooked, so looks like we may get a lil wet on the fields!!!

Evening all!!! Can anybody help me..... My hubby is setting of on Saturday morning to cycle from Long Eaton Notts to Lands End (raising money for charity) , any chance of a bit of a forecast for the areas he will be passing through on his way? Route is A50, A38, A30 (i think) planning on 60-80 miles per day. I see that there are warnings out come Sunday for the south west, but is he going to be blighted with winds and rain all the way? Any help much appreciated Becca!!!

Nothing happening here in Long Eaton I was really excited earlier, but feel really rather defeatist now!!!!

Still snowing here, flakes got smaller, but are getting a bit bigger and much faster now!!!!! The road is covered over, and really hardly anybody driving about!!!!!

Lots of snow here!!!!! yey!!!! And the puppy loves it!!! (so do I though!!!)

I am totally getting ready for Snow Watch tomorrow!!!!!

Well thats ok, because I am a good 50 yards outside of Notts City !!!!!! so maybe it willjust snow at my house!!!!!!

"@Crimson"Hi beccaboo! I used to live just outside of the centre of Notts City but now moved 5 miles north to Arnold. My postcode is still NG5 so I didnt bother changin it in my profile. I will bet £1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 that the snow will stop at Leicester and not come north enough to Nottingham. Nottingham is the Nemisis of snow :lol: Yeah, I always get excited for snow and end up dissappointed!!!! But I have stayed up so far tonight for it!!!! Arnold should be good though, if the snow comes, Arnold ususally gets it - especially being higher up!!!!! Fingers crossed!! Update from Long Eaton - Still dry - nothing happening, and puppy George has now gone to bed!!!!! I however, am still up and waiting for snow!!!!!!!!

Just took the puppy out for a tiddle and still dry here (apart from where he tiddled!!)

Glad to know I'm not the only one!!!!! I'm set with ITV soaps till 9, then an ITV drama till 10 and then C4 for This is England!!!! And in between all of that I will keep popping out the back door (excuse will be taking puppy for a tiddle!) and checking that if its not snowing out the front then its not snowing out the back either!!!!!!!! Or, if it is snowing out the front then making sure that it is snowing out the back!!!!!!

Awww!! I have a wacking great lampost right outside my window!!!!!!! Works a treat!!!!!!

Evening All!!!! I'm All Set!!!! TV Viewing is sorted, laptop is sorted for switching between here, raintoday, and bejewelled!!!! Beers are chilling in the fridge, curtains are open and lampost is on. Ready for the night and...........no work tomorrow so I can hang on into the early hours!!!! whoop!!!!!! So, what are my chances of snow in Notts??!!!!!! Keeping everything crossedd!!!!!!
