  13. some very strong wonds in the western isles and the north coast of ireland severe gale to storm force with gusts of 70mph on xc wind map
  14. saturday is definatly one to watch with widespread gales/severe gales possible, forecast sustained winds at moment 47mph-52mph and for gusts add another 20-30mph! (off the coast of NW england)
  15. if that low keeps it intensity then it will be headline news in places, i would say possible storm force winds with 90mph gusts in the worse affected areas, worth noting when its ut at sea the wind is approaching hurricane force.. however gfs does overcook depressions if its still there on wednesday then maybe start worrying!

  20. cant see much happening on the radar to get us excited in cumbria.....the band over scotland has moved into the north sea
  21. defo a nowcast situation, theres talk of it heading east to edinburgh and down east coast meaning we would miss it, and there must be a risk of it coming down the west here into cumbria looking at some forecasts
  22. if it carries on this movement se, a line from east coast of NI , SW Scot, NW eng Cumbria, over the pennines to East Angia, or it could break up into showers interesting to watch over last few hours and the next few hours but i will be asleep by then! streamers showing the circulation of well hope it continues
