  1. 6 miles can make a hugh difference in this setup but not to worry as some longer spells on the radar for us within the hour.
  2. If you believe the met local postcode forecast which has been spot on for here today so far then the snow will get as far inland as hexham after dark.
  3. The nym wont matter a jot when the wind vectors ese and the met reckon it will happen at 3.
  4. Latest radio forecast says showers will merge and move inland later this afternoon and into tonight.
  5. The trend all day has been for the snow to move further inland. First thing it was berwick then alnwick then blyth now shields so by the time its peterlee, hartlepool landfall places like durham consett and hexham should be in on it
  6. Matt hugh on twitter: latest unmodified ukmo meso model clearly showing more substantial snow moving into ne england mid afternoon onwards!
  7. Very light flakes here now. First of day. More importantly the wind here has changed from sse to ese in last 20 mins.
  8. The north sea is looking better and better on every radar update now. Just need the wind to go direct se'ly
  9. On the met 5 day forecast the from 1500 today right through till the end of tuesday is either heavy of light snow for my postcode. Its the same for everywhere in the area away from coast.
  10. The met office sticking to their forecast of heavy snow here from 6 tonight till late in the day tomorrow.
  11. The met office forecast for my postcode is more of an upgrade for today and tomorrow I'd say with heavy snow from 1800 today till tomorrow 1200 and then light snow.
  12. Looking good for north northumberland at the mo. Late today (5ish) for the rest of area I reckon.
  13. Looking like the western front will miss us so all our snow will come from the north sea. Ideal senario I'd say. Frontal snow is never as good as off the north sea. Remember 2010. It all came from the north sea. Lake effect snow for us.
  14. Another 6 inches on top of whats still laying would make 10 and that's enough for me. Loved 2010 but don't want 2 foot 6 and 20 foot drifts again.
  15. The front to the west is already into devon and ni much earlier then bbc had it down to.
  16. Temp -1.7 is highest since monday. Still snowing about 4/10. Starting to look good for tomorrow. Will we be under orange warning by tomorrow afternoon?
