  1. The bbc now have the heavy snow friday reaching us. As they have access to models we can't see ill be waiting for the mets updates later. But I still think it will be a case of radar watching on friday. Bring on saturdays easterly though•
  2. -4.2 and dp of -4.6 on top of 8cms of snow here now. Like a stone. -10 tonight anyone.
  3. Just been to consett for shopping. Plenty of snow about between here and there. All the talk is for snow in the sw but I'd rather not get snow from the west like yesterday. Much better when it comes from the east like last night and today and dec 2010. Local met forecast for prudhie has snow most of friday and saturday so who knows.
  4. Steady meaty flakes here now. Took an age to cross the tyne valley so might be here a while
  5. If the gfs snow risk for friday and saturday we could be in for a dec 2010 event
  6. According to gfs most of the region has 95% snow risk from 6am friday till 12pm saturday
  7. Looking good for snow chances at the weekend according to the model forum. Looking good for a subzero day today as well. Temp -1.8 now
  8. Anyone think those showers out to sea could merge and get heavier
  9. For the last half hour or so the radar says no but the lamp post says yes
  10. Moderate now here at long last but not convinced its going to last long. But can't complain got a complete covering now about 4 inches deep. 1000 feet high is very handy when it comes to snow•
  11. I'm hoping that pnn near north berwick might head for my area
  12. Doesn't look like it will get much further inland than newcastle tonight to me
  13. Dp -3.7 here but maybe too far inland for all the fun tonight
  14. Ppn north of edinburgh is definatly heading inland now so if the ppn off our coast follows suit it will swing into us in a couple of hours or so.
  15. The met office must think it will come back inland because they have updated my local forecast to have light-heavy snow from 6 tonight till 6am tomorrow.
  16. Just been down to timber merchants in prudhoe next to the river and no snow at all but on the drive uphill home the snow gets deeper quickly. Probs about 2 inches or so here but dry now. Hope that wasn't it for the day.
  17. If the look north graphics are to be believed everywhere east of the a68 should keep this band of snow till late. West of a68 looked dry from around now.
  18. If it keeps up like it is now till tonight a foot wouldn't be out of the question
