  1. Got negative temp and dp here and radar looking very nice and improving every time I look. Already a good covering from last night so bring it on. Looking good for a long cold spell according to models forum.
  2. Decent covering but not looking like lasting much longer on radar. So what's tomorrow going to bring
  3. Light snow here in whittonstall 15 miles sw of newcastle Temp -0.6 dp -2.7
  4. Still subzero (-0. and a dp of -1.1 here and cloudy. Just need the ppn to get here for the fun to start
  5. Bbc weather just now said north east would bare brunt of the coming snow
  6. Its moving very slowly east according to radar so where it falls as snow could be in for quite a bit of it. Should make my drive home from work over the tops ver interesting.
  7. Heavy snow with big juicy flakes now 4 miles due west of otterburn.
  8. No a track has been cleared by a farmer and i put grit all the way to the top yesterday but only wide enough for a quadbike. Some brilliant skiing and boarding lately!
  9. Was a rumor about a ski tow getting put in here last winter cause its one of the snowist places in england but they ran out of funds. Im going out now to join the 20 or so out skiing now anyway!
  10. From 6 miles south of Whitley Chapel just before the road end or as its known now Hexhamshires premier ski resort!
  11. Is that in Hexham at river level? Wifes at work in prudhoe and i collect her from the station but will be going nowhere without a snow plough coming through!
  12. Not as heavy here in Hexhamshire @ 1050feet. How much has everyone got now? Had 6 inches today and a total of 28 inches lying on the ground. Also isnt it funny how there no mention of this on the news? BBC news 24 forcast even said "the snowfall in north east england will not be significant but will add a dusting to the school run"!
  13. 2 inches of fresh snow ain the last hour or so here in Hexhamshire. If met radar right would expect around 8-10 inches more here on top of the 22 still here from last week! Would put it at about 30 inches but the south gets it worst!!!! Amazing really. Hill fell outside already had a few skiiers and boarders on it! May join them later
  14. Very heavy snow started half an hour ago here in Hexhamshire, Northumberland to add to the 22inches still here off last week!
  15. No such look here at 1050feet in the Tyne Valley a mere 15 miles from Newcastle as the crow flies! Pics below took in the last half hour within 5 minutes walk of home!
