Derp Patrol

About half an hour ago we had a quick thunder storm lasting about 30 minutes with very heavy rain and some hail, and a bit of thunder as well The sun has come out now but I think I'll see another one.. This is after a fine day with a max of 23.3C after a low of 14C

The first 2 days were wonderful! And then from then untill a few days ago it has been awful down here with cloudy skies, and lots of drizzle type rain with temps in the mid teens. But this weekend has been good, not amazing, but good nonetheless, and if we can get a nice end to June as the charts are hinting at, then I will consider this month as good overall.

The last 10 days prior to the weekend were cool.. but certainly not cold.. I was fine with just a T-Shirt most of the time.. it was 16-20C most of the time.. so not too bad

Quite pleasant outside at 22C with some sun but there is a fair bit of cloud after a low of 12c last night

Well looking at the new charts, very promising, finally the people that keep saying that this is going to be like 2007 can stop!

But facts are facts, this June has not been average so far for many areas.. 15C max temps are not average for June in London as 12C max temps in Scotland aren't average.. Haven't seen the sun for a week

well for early June averages are 16-19C in the south and for late June averages are about 17-22C.. but this week We've had 16C and cloudy skies with rain.. I wouldn't really call it average.. but yes I seem to remember Junes being poor.. let's hope July is good!

17C.. but feels very cool especially with the wind and no sun at all. If this summer follows the last 2....

Shockingly cold down here at the moment.. It is very unusual for us to have sub 15C max in June here, it feels freezing!

4th 25C+ day in a row =) Got close to 28C here with 27.7C, tomorrow will probably be more like 20-22C. Right now it's about 20C and feels nice, it's probably warmer outside than inside, I have my windows wide open and it still feels warm

Well My highest last year was 30.2C, today we reached 26C... can't remember the last time we had a day max temp below 20C

Probably even hotter in the sun! At Wembley today, the thermometers were reading 41C

Hmm London is down as 20C for Friday.. I think if any sun came out then at least the low 20s would be reached..

Hit 23C today after 25 yesterday.. Clouds have been out for 2 hours now though.. Looks like a thunderstorm approaching

25c recorded yesterday, and today is forecast to reach 28C

Beautiful day,max today here was 24.4C.. still feels warm and I think we will still be at 20C untill 10pm here

I feel sorry for you guys up north, we haven't had a sub 16C daytime max since sometime in April :lol:

Off topic - It's also like that in Seville.. I went there 2 years ago.. it was horrible. 42C during the daytime and 25C at night for most of the week during late July.. I never want to go there again

I'll be the first to predict the first 90F B) I think we might just get 90F in mid July in the London area :o

I am speaking for where I live though.. London has quite a different climate compared to the rest of the UK.. for example average max temps are 11 in March, 13-14 in April, 17-18 In May and 20-21 in June. I suppose I come to expect of warmer temperatures and drier weather down here as it is normally the warmest and one of the driest places in the UK. However, this May has definately been chilly, and I am still surprised that the max temperature anywhere in the UK is still only 22

No, sorry but I have to disagree there, 16C In April is not warm.. I would consider it mild at most, especially seeing as temperatures of over 20C are quite possible in April. April was mainly above average because of the high minima, sometimes the daytime maxima were quite cool, so you can understand why some people think that it has been cool. And I think it is perfectly acceptable that May can be considered an early start to summer. The fact that we haven't had a below average one since 1996 would explain this..

It hasn't been a 'warm' Spring. Certainly, many places have had cool Springs, up untill 2 weeks ago down here it has been nice, but not really 'warm' March was just full of 14-16C max temps.. not really warm, and April was the same with constant 16C+ temps, but so far we have only reached 20C a few times.. we reached it yesterday I think and maybe today aswell.. but it certainly doesn't feel warm. I would be very surprised if we didn't see 25C by the end of May down here.. usually we get some good warmth by the end of May.
