  1. I'm still waiting for my grass to grow; once this cold spell is history I'll be able to feed it and prepare it for late spring. Can't wait to get in the garden and see everything spring to life, been a very slow start
  2. It feels weird, during the winter I was loving any prospect of snow and filled my boots during the late January dumping we got in the SE; but now I'm heartily fed up of any forecast that includes snow. I just want warm, sunny Spring days to enjoy and with the baby due to arrive in about three weeks I could do with conditions improving. Just out of interest how long would coldies like this to continue, or would you be happy with 12 months of the white stuff?
  3. Just hope the farmers get the lambs in, the weather over the last 12 months or more has really not been kind to them at all. Birds won't be happy either. To think that a year ago we were about to hit 21oc.
  4. Perhaps I'm being swayed by the fact that my wife is a month away from having our first baby, could do with some Spring warmth to ease us into parenthood. And I certainly hope that this Summer is better than last year, although that shouldn't be hard! It's 10 years since the stunning summer of 2003, now a repeat of that would go down well!
  5. Morning all!Just interested to see how many people want to see snow and wintery conditions now that we're in meteorological Spring?I'm a huge snow fan but am now ready for some warm Spring sunshine, not really interested in seeing any more white stuff or freezing temps until the winter. Are there any other snow lovers out there that feel the same way?
  6. Considering less cold conditions are around the corner I probably will have to resign myself to checking the model thread for the next cold spell. Suffice to say this last 10 days have been great fun on here. Hope we all managed to enjoy whatever snow we got! See you soon, Jezzer
  7. Yep, snow is meant to move in tomorrow evening, looks more like rain turning to snow. Not really expecting much to be honest before milder air works its way in over the weekend.
  8. Absolutely belting it down with snow here, took a while to start settling but now covering car and pavements. Not the dry snow we experienced on Friday and Sunday but snow nonetheless
  9. Tom, such a shame my boys didn't come out for the second half. As gaffer you'll understand that I'm desperately disappointed many congrats to London Snow for a thoroughly professional second-half display
  10. I wonder if that's the one was flying around Box Hill earlier
  11. Getting my snow and sledging fix up on Box Hill. Who needs the French Alps! Stunning up here with faint sunshine just pushing through the clouds!
  12. Blue sky appearing just past Reigate on the M25, watch out for snow blindness on the slopes today folks!
  13. I'll be measuring when I get home Just heading back from Tunbridge Wells
  14. Has anyone been up to Box Hill recently? I'm heading up there later this morning, presume the pistes are in good nick?
  15. Well what a day! Fab wedding accompanied by magical snowfall, like something from a film! Just got back to the hotel after an eventful walk which involved older sisters making snow angels and the mother of all snowball fights, only snow could reduce middle aged women into 10-year-olds. That's why I love snow, I'll miss it when it's gone!
  16. So is this being boosted by the Channel or is it purely what was already coming from France?
  17. Not been able to keep tabs on this thread much since lunchtime but can i ask if this is lasting longer than expected? Still no sign of letting up here?
