I take it was just rain ? I was in Malton yesterday morning, annd temps were about 7oC. However, when I went about 60 miles south, the temp dropped to 4-5oC. It was a very strange day yesterday between n.yorks and s.derbys. I experienced, rain, sleet and snow, and of course some looneys on the motorway .

Positively Alpine here in the southern Peak District.

12cm of lying powder snow, trees etc laden with frozen snow. Temp'

-1.0c after a min' of -3.2c. 1 okta cloud on the horizon and unbroken sunshine. Wind 10 mph W, gusting to 19.
