29 degrees here - welwyn garden city :wink: but very overcast.

If the cloud wasn't there it would be scorching :shock:

Is the rain and storms they have in the West coming this way ?? 8)

good thinking Rob!  But be careful or by the time they have posted it to you, this heat wave could be over whereas if you get one the other ways you could have it tomorrow in time for the heat wave

I was thinking of the next heatwave, rather than this one 8)

Um things look like happening here people.

Still an E breeze, Clouds still moving from W, lumpy cumulus in lines and building too, 32c at present and still warmest part of day to come,1400

radar shows a band of showers moving into west Somerset from Devon supporting the cloud movement mentioned above and also a few strikes on the lightning detector from the band. Can't see the cloud yet but it won't be long.

it is getting quite breezy - thats nice :)

but along with it it's bringing the dark clouds !! Fingers crossed 8)

Swindon 1537, sweltering 32c (shade),lots of blue sky some cloud.

Andy Brown, you are not too far from me,.........yes, there does seem to be activity in Somerset,and to the south of Bristol.

Don't raise your hopes too high! Those clouds passed here (probably) and didn't do anything, so I doubt they'll do anything there (famous last words :) )!

Very black clouds and showers very close by, the radar shows broken showers instead of earlier band. Humidity raised since it's clouded over and temp steady at 28c.

Can see heavy rain falling a few miles away but perhaps not reaching the ground.

Just a quick question about humidity. On a normal day, when it feels quite fresh, what would humidity values be around?

At what level does it start to feel humid?

its 28oC here in Dumfries, it aint been this hot for Years n years. the record max temp for Dumfries is 32oC which was set in July 1901 and again in July 1911, id luv 2 see that record broken this week. Could it be possible? 8)

Just had a 5 minute sharp shower with large drops of rain. They evaporated on contact with the ground so apart from the cars there is no sign that it has rained :!:

Very black sky to my NE now seems to be developing further as it moves away. Fine rainbow too.

Still at 28c and tropical style evening.

Very dark cloud with weird lines heading from South east. I think i heard someone say they saw one like it earlier??

Around 1800 the sky darkened,and produced a few drops of rain.Strange thing was the wind,it really picked up strong,maybe due to convection??
