A fine start with partly cloudy skies and sunny spells before the cloud once again bubbled up. Although the showers were fairly widespread on the radar all of them missed my location and it remained dry for the whole day. By the evening the shower activity nearby decreased and resulted in some pleasant late sunshine. With a maximum of only 12.8°C after a chilly night, it was a rather cool day overall. The temperature this evening has been steadily dropping meaning a ground frost is quite possible. My May average temperature is now a fraction of a degree above average and continues to fall, should tomorrow be another cool day it may just reach the average figure.
