Got a lot worse here, very gusty and heavy rain. SKY keeps breaking up, often a sign we might see some thunder and lightening shortly.

thought it was clearing up here. then went very dark and the street lights came and down it came again, we live on a hill so our road was like a fast flowing river for about 3/4 hour now eased off agin but looking out of window more big dark clouds coming

It is awful. Really getting worried, whole racecourse is going under.

oh dear, do you have any drains, streams etc, close by - it was those which caused most of the mayhem up here. also rain just running off fields, down hills, under railway bridges or just in dips in the road. if those are in residential areas houses will get badly flooded.

Hi Gav  I am fine thankyou apart from being a little tired from a week of storm watching :)

Hope you are well.

It is incredible what happening on the radar atm I cant believe that big red area in the Midlands.

As I said earlier it seems a different world here today, as it has been completely dry all morning.

Well i did ask yesterday if anyone knew where Noahs ark was ... If someone had answered and found it I could have sailed by and rescued you all!But some had such little faith like the people in Noahs day and are now moaning they are drowning

Hi Brian, im fine thankyou. Little bit tired too, my wife gave birth to our first child last Friday. Baby boy called Harry. No sleep

It is incredible what is happening at the moment. The winds are strong easterly here with fast moving low cloud moving east to west. The rain is heavy now too. More like October out there

Hmmm...was that a rumble of thunder I heard in the distance? Hope so.

Where in Northamptonshire are you? I'm trying to plot points where the storms have been reported to try and gauge the direction its moving.
