Heard one rumble of thunder from a cell tracking to the south of here about an hour ago. We only had light rain but heavy rain and hail fell five miles away.

Heavy rain with loud thunder here in Northants. No lightning observed.

Saw half a dozen flashes of lightning from this end of Northampton, both CG and IC. Not much rain though. :)

-PBS-

P.S. it's still flashing away intermittently as I type...

Several rumbles of thunder from a storm to the north of UEA Norwich, which produced spectacular cloud effects. No lightning observed.

Thunderstorm here 1400, torrential downpours, also further thunder while in Tregaron around 1530.

Dad reported TL and hail from Coventry around 1800.

Just had a fab storm here near Beverley, lasted about 15 mins.

Really gave us a rattle. Lots of lightening, loud thunder

and super hail storm.

Lost the power three times, but just for a few secs.

I'll try and post a couple of pics ..

A mate called me from swansea valleys today (near Brecon Beacons) and said they had very heavy hail & thunder but nothing here on coast just very localized torrential showers.

A few good storms here this evening. It all kicked-off about 17:40 with a nice storm with loys of IC lightning about 5 miles to my NW moving NE. This had a trailing band of cloud associated with a gust front on which a second storm developed to the SW of me about 18:10. This then moved overhead and intensified and, after it had passed, gave us a really nice CG show to the NE with hail shafts picked out against the the dark bases of the Cb.

After this had passed there were also two other electrified cells in the vicinity, one to the SE with IC and another to the south. Both of these missed this location although you could see the lightning, hear the thunder and not watch Sky  .

All over by about 20:00, except for Sky which has been on the blink all evening.

All in all an excellent cameo performance.
