How depressing. The 7:30PM temperature in Hastings is 27C with 30% relative humidity. Sheer bliss!

Meanwhile, in the capital city of gales, it's 16C with a northwesterly gusting to 73mph. How grimly predictable.

1.3C and sleeting here. The appears to have been some snow overnight, but the weather station is only recording 1mm of rain. Perhaps it's frozen and the water's not drained through, or perhaps the weather forecast was just a tad over the top?

A wet and windy start to the day in London, rain started falling around 5:30am

mix of rain and snow here with temp at 0.6C and dewpoint -0.5C, some settling on grass; min last night was at 1800 with -1.5C, one of the coldest readings in a long time so early in the evening. Technically not a frost for today though.

Feeling very raw and damp here now. Wind is fairly gusty too. Sarted snowing here at around midnight but was on the verge of sleet by 1.30am. Still a lot of slush around but definitely thawing. Settling snow looked pretty for an hour or so but back to wet and windy now for a bit I guess.

Well if it has been snowing - I've certainly not seen any of it! I could hear rain since about 6:30am so I suspect we didn't have much here.

The rain has been heavy and cold - my single least favourite type of weather to be out in. Cycling against the freezing westerly wind laden with heavy rain made for the most unpleasent cycle rides to work at least since I moved house back in July.

Most definitely a morning you'd give your right arm for it to be a warm & sunny summers morning...

Wet snow started just before 6am here lasting an hour or two before eventual sleet then rain,
