Still snowing here, but the snw on the ground (about 3cm) has turned largely to slush. Temps still 0.9c.

Freezing conditions overnight lifted as cloud and strong south east winds gusting to 38mph brought rain and raised the temperature to 5c by observation.

Moderate frost with a good deal of ice and a very slight sprinkling snow around this morning, minimum –4.1c, grass minimum –5.1c. At observation clear, frosty and sunny. The day continued sunny but very cold with frost and ice persisting in the shade. Maximum temperature up to 18:00hrs, 2.7c, top wind speed 14mph from the NW. The temperature quickly fell away to freezing by dusk.

Just had a very heavy hail shower here... so heavy it set off several car alarms. :lol:

After some very heavy rain and accompanying gales before dawn, today has been the classically British day of sunshine and showers being blown in on a blustery Westerly wind.

The maximum has been 9c. At present it's 8c and clear overhead, with showers moving quickly by to the SW.

Currently partly cloudy with a temperature of 5.0C after an earlier max of 5.4C.

13.0mm of precipitation this morning, in the form of rain and sleet. Shame it wasnt snow really, as the NW radar accumulation shows we had quite a bit compared to elsewhere.

7C max here today temps falling back should be a ground frost tonight, can't see any mild weather on the horizon people keep asking m when it will warm up as they are tired of putting on several layers, i'm afraid i don't know is what i tell them., wrap up warm saturday night if you are going out on the town a cold one coming up i feel.
