Bright and cold with a thick frost on the car and pavements. Lots of gritters out last night but not in time for a young lad to skid off the A27 in his Corsa - I just missed him!

-1c here with another harsh frost, clear skies

Im due to do my christmas shopping in Buxton on Saturday/Sunday (as a snow lover why not choose the heighest town in England)

what I dont understand is at 6pm temp set to be 1c and torrential rains and at 9pm 0c and heavy rains. The 'snow potential' is O ? why is that ?

http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=...;sess=#forecast

Surely at 1,300 ft there will be snow potential up there ?

-1°C here. Very clear skies. Very frosty start and looks set to be that way for most of the day, I think.

A beautiful morning with clear and sunny skies..

Currently -2c after an overnight low of -3, these airfrosts are amazing night after night.

Beats mild mush everytime.

Another freezing morning with a low of -0.4c right now. Less icy than yesterday morning (no falling off this morning!) but certainly feels colder.

A stunning sunrise over the city too - some lovely scenes this winter. I am tiring a bit of it though as this cold infects everything (in much the same way a really hot spell in summer does) - even the tap water - which comes out freezing cold and hurts your teeth! I wouldn't mind a few mild days - before returning to this sort of weather again.
