How long is this taking to arrive??! Been waiting ages, still nothing by the lamppost.

How heavy where you are, dogs?

Brilliant snow here in Stroud. Heavy now with everything covered, including the trees. Should soon be in Cheltenham

Jackone that main band over Southern England is going to have to swing round drastically to reach South Wales! I think it will continue to head straight North. Other bands of precip may get to Wales by morning though.

If you look (well) to the south of Wales, there is a building band to the south of Devon and further ones off Northern France and these are the ones I am one about, also precipitation tend to be building out of nowhere as it approaches south Wales.

The NMM forecast also shows the area of precip over the far SW of England to move into Wales tomorrow.

Anyway we have already had 5-6 inches of snow this week, and there still a blanket outside , so I cannot really complain if we get nothing tonight, as seems unlikely.

How strange for you to have a lower temperature considering how high up i am!

Although to be fair the air reading is abit close to house really but still.

that echo does look damn nasty my friend.

very heavy echoes over there in Stroud.Radar looking good

Moderate to really quite heavy in bursts. I'm in the least snowy lower part of town and it'll all be white very soon - the commons must be interesting by now as were already covered at sundown...Damn run out of ale.

You joking, it's Stroud! Not the most normal town... Looking at the precip charts looks like a dry period coming then a chance of more following - still good at mo. Live on town end of Slad Rd, you near?

Thrupp Lane - a nightmare to get the car out in snow. OK once onto London Road. Just heard the BBC Glos forecast which says "snow becoming very heavy overnight"

Few v small flakes now. By the way - I can't remember the last time that we had four days running where ALL precipitation fell as snow!

Gave up on the weather station I had, more moods than my teenage daughter; the readings are from the official site just outside Radstock, we're a bit higher than that here but it always tallies up with the car readings.

There's no such thing as a nasty echo, all are welcome in this neck of the woods, especially really, really nasty ones.

There is still a few flakes blowing about. I'm impressed but the development over sea before the showers hit Swansea area. This is a good thing, let's hope more development through the night. Would be great to see better showers reaching here from down south.

If the snow was heavy now it would easily stick, it started to stick in the moderate snow early.

Good night.
