Tedious, grey and cold pretty much sums it up. But.....dry.

I did however spot this yesterday, very nice diurnal variation in some of those temperatures.

It has been less cold overnight due to more breeze and cloud cover. At observation, dry and bright but with a good deal of low cloud. A few sunny spells followed through the morning but it became increasingly cloudy so by afternoon overcast conditions prevailed. The wind was fresh to strong from the west, maximum gust 32mph. Maximum temperature 12.9c.

Cold front moving southwards during today with a complete change in feel to the weather later today, feels mild this morning 11C, tonight will be a different story with arctic maritime air covering the country with cold dew points and temps near 0C with a cold northerly wind.

[Terminal Moraine]

A short spell of light rain earlier this morning gave 0.3 mm by 0900. Currently it's dry and cloudy and even windier than yesterday with a mean speed of 35 mph, gusting to 61 mph at 0900. Temp' is 7.5c but it feels much colder than that.

Blowing a gale for the last hour or so, a gust of 69 mph recently, the highest so far this year. Intermittent rain is coming down horizontally.

A mild and now pleasant windy day. Very fresh out there winds gusting to 58 mph any higher and will be windier than anything the winter gave us during 2008/9.

A bright start, but now overcast with a gusty NW breeze, and no doubt we'll have the predicted light rain here soon. Temperature around 10 deg C after a mild night (min 5.9) and feeling much cooler out there than yesterday.

breezy and sunshine now after a burst of rain as the cold front went through, temp is now 10.3C from a high of 12+ with the dewpoint down to 0.9C from a high of 5.6C

to my old body it don't feel mild out there!

Wow, just had a heavy shower with very strong winds, must have been a couple of gusts up at 40-50mph. Calmed off now, but after the last two weeks of high pressure and sunshine this is a dramatic change!

Still raining but the wind has changed direction, more northerly now. I wasn't expecting such a storm today... 7.6c.

yes i agree just had that here too not sure where it came fromm but very gusty winds along with very heavy shower still raining now think cold front just passing through

Gradual changes to the recent weather through today with another to come shortly...

... The first change is that it's been very windy from the NW (including gale force gusts) all day,

... The second change is that after a sunny start it's been mostly cloudy since around 11.00,

... The next change will be the first rain for about a fortnight.

Maximum today of 11.4c, dropping off now at 10.2c with humidity 71%.
