18.5c here with blue skies. The haze has thinned to a much deeper blue and the breezy morning has calmed down now too. All in all- a lovely day!

19.5c here now, close to 20c but still a few hours yet to breach it. Warmest day recorded for me is today 19.6c, 30mins or so ago. Hopefully the sun will stay out and 20c will be recorded although its a little more breeze now than it was at lunchtime.

Another lovely day 'Oday' with very good visibility and sunshine with just some patches of cirrus/cirrostratus in the sky. Just slightly cooler than yesterday with a max of 17.3C and more of a NW breeze. Less cloud this afternoon than compared to yeaterday though.

There's a very interesting linear cloud feature extending from the Faroe islands and arcing down the north sea to north west France.

Any explanations for this? perhaps the convergence of two air masses or something?

As I anticipated, today did bring a little bit of precipitation albeit very light drizzly stuff and short lived around lunchtime. After a dull morning and early afternoon, the sun broke through and delivered pnce again a stunningly clear blue sky sunny evening.. those temperatures are going to take a tumble again this evening could be down to 2 degrees possibly 1 degree by dawn.

Just for the record we had up until today 10 consecutive dry days, this April is certainly turning out to be a very dry one for the Lake District, anyone got any statistics on how dry this month has been, in fact I'm going to start a new thread about this months dryness so far..
