I THINK IN THIS INSTANCE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE PROFESSIONAL IF THIS OFFICER would have followed the Ambulance behind and had a word after they had conveyed this patient, IMO this has put the police dept in that state in bad light ---he could have waited, I dont condone the bloke in front actions but DAM! that looked bad on camera oh and another Youtube VIdeo the Paramedic stated that the patient had Chest Pain although in this country we wouldnt be messing around at normal road speeds with a chest pain biggrin.gif

several years back I was trying to cross a road with my wife & kids, in La Rochelle France at a busy road junction right outside the city police station when to our amazment a police car with blue lights and siren was trying to get through the traffic the drivers where sticking there cars in his way on purpose stopping him every few feet as he tried to squeeze through any gaps with lots of one finger gestures at the police car our thoughts were youd never do that at home in uk or even think of getting away with it but we saw it happening a couple of other times in large citys in france on the same trip.

sorry if it getting a bit off stormchase topick

That is surprising and I've never seen/heard of that happening in this country. However, soooo many people do tend to pick the worst location to stop when they hear a siren behind them, usually slap bang beside a traffic island blocking all traffic behind and forcing the emergency vehicle divert and face oncoming traffic. :80: This can cut valuable seconds off of emergency response times. To be honest, although totally inexcusable, I think this trooper was a bit peeved at arriving at the fight once it was all over.

The Police tend to have a very good relationship with Ambulance crew over here, which is always a handy thing on a Friday night when the intoxicated who aren't fit for custody need carting off to hospital.

Won't complain at that graphic, Paul :) I'll be quite happy basing myself out of the Big Texan for 3 weeks!

Hey everyone. Cant wait to meet all the people on the tours when you get to Oklahoma. Will be nice to see some fellow Brits. I moved to Oklahoma 1yr ago to work as a storm tracker for News 9 and Gary England. So i will see you soon and wish all the tour people a safe flight to Dallas and a safe drive to Oklahoma.

PS: Thursday is looking like a good day for tornadoes in N texas, Central Oklahoma and S Kansas. Possibly strong ones too.
