It's been an absolute SCOOORCHER today. I played tennis for 3 hours between 11am and 2pm and boy was I feeling the heat, sweating buckets and got some big tan going on lol. It was about 22c but felt a lot warmer, when the sun is baking down on you during the hottest parts of the day though with no clouds in the sky it is around 32c because the suns warmth makes it that hot. In the shade it was 22c but exposed in the sun was more like 32c.

Not quite as warm as yesterday but better I say, yes more a breeze around but it felt more comfortable and also we had much more sunshine, well we had sunshine from dawn till dusk and almost continuous blue sky - really doesn't get much better..

I was walking in the fells around Martindale near Ullswater and took the steamer on Ullswater today, the hills looked stunning.

Believe me I'm not expecting many days this summer to top today in the Lake District, yes we will likely see warmer days, but the bet will be such days will deliver much more haze..

Tomorrow is looking another cracking day, but a higher chance of more cloud about in the afternoon. Expecting 24 degrees again. Wonderful weather!
