There is stll drizzle in the air, but the heaviest of the rain has now gone. It has been wet for over 36 hours now and I've recorded just shy of 25mm in the last 24. All the West Dorset and SE Somerset streams are on flood watch and one is on flood alert. Normally, once the rain stops, the river levels here go down quite quickly. Can but hope that the rain supposedly coming up from France later in the day stays well to the east of us!

Thoroughly pleasant start to the day, some light cloud around, but plenty of sun, and feeling nice and warm in a gentle breeze.

Been raining all night with the loud noise waking me up periodically through the night. This morning is just as bad causing me to get soaked to the skin on the way to work. Was forced to turn round and go back to collect some spare clothes (ironically since I always bring spare clothes when it rains and rarely need them - except today!).

10mm overnight and up to now with a muggy min of 18.4c which is where it lies now.

Dry and cloudy, but interesting cloud formations (a fair amount of cirrocumulus around for example) so not boring. Some brightness about, small bits of blue sky here and there.

Quite warm & humid as expected. Will be interested to see if any thundery activity makes it over here tonight.
