Breezy and fresher than for a long time. Some good sunny spells with Cirrus, Altocumulus and Stratocumulus. The temperature is falling at 12.5c and humidity is 88%.

The day started very wet and windy and 20mm is in the gauge to add to a pretty wet October.

I'd imagine it's due to the blue skies! Was 9C here ta 9:30am, got up to 11.1C by around 2pm and is now 10.1C. We've had sunshine for most of the day while ye still have rain.

Very mild last night, spells of of rain from about 0200, these became more continuous and heavier during the morning. SE wind became rather gusty through the late night.

The pressure fell rapidly from the teens early in the night to just 987mbar mid morning when the low was close by to west Wales.

A sudden rise in the temperature occurred mid morning so that the day's min/max were both within a 3-hour period!

The wind veered SW mid morning also, and became strong to gale force for several hours.

Sunny intervals after the rain cleared 0900, with a few brief light showers only. Temperatures dropped again to be at 11-12c late morning to mid afternoon.

Min: 9.8c @ 0630

Max: 14.7c @ 0930

Rain yesterday: 25.0mm

Rain since 0900: 0.8mm

Currently: Rather cloudy, wind decreased now to a fresh breeze (west).

Temp: 10.0c

Pressure: 995mbar, steady.

An unpleasant feeling day very much what you expect from November. However, the rain was not as intense as I expected nor as long lasting, it quickly cleared away during the early afternoon. Thankfully we have avoided localised flooding, though the rivers are now swollen and with a wet week ahead there is every chance that some localised flooding could occur at some stage in the coming days.

Unfortunately the windy spell has stripped many of the trees bare and the autumn colour is fast dissapearing, but the bonus is that new views are now opening up and the feel of the air and atmosphere here in the lakes is quickly descending into its winter clothing.. love this time of year,, just a pity the days are now short.
