Some exceptional temperatures out there tonight. London City Airport and London Weather Centre are both currently at 17C (rounded up). Amazing at this time of night in mid November.

dry and mainly sunny with a low of 9.8C, so a mild night

the rain last evening and overnight totalled 6.6mm, so most in this area would get 8-10mm I would imagine

the highest gust was 34 mph, quite high for the very sheltered location-its not often it gets above 35 mph

So nothing of note.

We seem to be escaping the worst vagaries of the current storm. Yes we had some heavy rain yesterday evening but it only last about 2 hours and today we have had some sharp showers but nothing too heavy and the wind is strangely quite calm, we were forecasted gales for now.

Still its a preety dismal Saturday again, not near as bad as last Saturday but it is not the weather that inspires you to get out and about. However, just like last weekend, Sunday is looking much better, so all is not lost.

Really blowing here now, getting concerned about next door TV aeril.

Just had a heavy and prolonged shower and could only just see the trees at the end of my garden.

It is suppose to calm down later thank goodness.Mild though at 11c.

It's been a wonderful day for storm viewing. Extremely squally and maximum gusts here of 69/70 mph.

Also had hail, thunder and lightning as well as torrential rain and very dark periods at times requiring the light on indoors.

Just been for a short 5 minute walk around the block. I saw three heavy 8 ft fence panels ripped out, three small trees down but most surprisingly one large fir tree split down the middle. A few branches of trees as well and the river is high and the water full of debris.

No structural damage though thankfully but plenty of wheelie bins gone AWOL.

The sea at high tide this morning was very high and stormy but fortunately no over-topping, just a lot of seawater, shingle and debris on the promenade.

We have had sustained Force 8 winds for over 9 hours now.
