I think my luck just ran out, icey sleet falling now melting what little we had away, even if it did snow, it wouldn't stick now anyway

It can still stick if the ground freezes or if the snow is intense enough.

It missed us i think.

Smack on cardiff .have enybody else noticed how the track of heavier showers over central ireland has moved further south.the Lp must be tracking southwards.

Cardiff could get interesting, looks like a cluster of showers heading that way on and off maybe for 45 -60 mins.

i think my best bet now would be later in the night if the temp drops and we get a heavy snow shower. Havent got my hopes up this time though.

Hang in there Jay , the radar showing a reasonable amount heading your way ,should start lightly within ten mins and maybe a few quick strong bursts for even half hour perhaps.

Have a word with your lampost, i did threaten to smash mine up, and then it produced some snow to temporarily placate me.
