It was a very short flurry. ppn band is starting to make progress into the south now.

Still concerned about the risk of it turning to rain even if it is just for a while.

Temperature is holding at -1.3c but this might drag up warmer air... cc_confused.gif

It's much lighter now, but the road etc has been covered... mostly as it was frozen to start with.

Can anyone do a radar jobby for TQ13/EX6 please? Either or, not both.

The sat images has the thicker cloud south of the coast still, and it does look alot brighter, but deadly still out.

doesn't look like it will hit this area more east around central southern england.

Have faith you are in the warning zone and bbc graphics showed it extending right up towards south wales and west midlands almost

can i just say to everyone, this is touch and go once the main band comes across temps will rise but at the moment promising for higher ground. just dont get to excited but conditions are set. i don't like to be boring and is usually the excited one, but the intensity looks great at the moment but not sure how much it will fizzle out as it hits land. in terms of timing it will be good as it approaches evening.

Totally agree, the band of ppn has been just off the coast for an hour or so now, I'm only a mile inland and it's still not raining yet as it just keeps fizzling out.

I wouldn't rule it out yet, GFS predicts it to head more northwards as the day goes on anyway.

It is moving northwards and swinging round on its self slightly as shown on graphics! remember the warning is for 3pm-6pm so we have a way to go yet before the real fun and games start. Also worth remembering even if it turns to rain it is forecast to turn back to snow later.

run the radar it has turned into a northerly move!
