Snow now eased off in Manselton (Swansea) - only very light at the moment - lets hope it picks up again. Temp now down to 0.6 deg when the snow arrived

Looking at the radar and it seems largely the heavier stuff is going West of Swansea.

Either way its snowing here has been for about 20 mins now.

looks like they are very busy and not quite getting it right - right now - I suppose if nowhere else in the country and wales was the only ones having snow they could devote their time to us - but it's snowing quite heavily near London and god forbid the english don't get their full attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

patience in swansea - it's coming

The way the warning system works is silly anyway by county lol what a ffars, and that's not because im not in the warning, i don't need to be its snowing steady here for the last half hour and ide call it steady rather than heavy because the flakes are fine. They always forget swansea and Carmarthenshire, but thanks the met we enjoyed or dusting last night :good: the whole 5 inches that fell was brilliant oh and were enjoying this snow flurry that's clearing to the south :D

The other thing to be looking at here is how far north the snow in southern central England makes it. The further north it goes, the more of it will cross Wales on its way back south. The further north it goes may also have an impact on how far west it makes it also, I think.

Heavy snow currently falling in Swansea and Carmarthenshire...

Exactly and we are in the firing line for it.

It was only last week, that they put increased our snow risk, when it was clear we wouldn't get that much.

They are right however to include the other areas in the alert, but I think we should be there too. 5cm from this is very possible if not quite a bit more. I have probably jinxed it now

I tend to agree with that and Carmarthenshire is likely to get quite a lot.

it's tring its very very best to snow here in caerphilly

The heaviest swathe of it certainly looks to be from surrey up the west of london then running along and to the north of the M4 right through to south wales - in this swathe 15-25cm by morning in some parts, and more snow through the morning

This forecast is just developing all the time

You may have jinxed it for you, but I'm keeping quiet on this one! I learnt my lesson today with the little Irish Sea low that I predicted would give several hours heavy snow fall in South Carmarthenshire- as soon as I typed that, it couldn't head due south quick enough!

Persistent moderate snow in Pontyates and 0.1c.

Am i right in thinking this snow will be here for quite a while now. This is the best snow i've seen this winter so far and its come at the right time of day aswell everything is white apart from the road.
