I see the METO have updated their weekend forecast for Yorkshire."Showers pushing well inland on a biting easterly".Now we are getting there.

enjoy it mate because as soon as we start to drag in slightly milder air early next week altitude will cum into play and therefore a fairly rapid thaw in low lying areas but not here whistling.gif

I'm certainly enjoying it mate, got over 14cm in my back garden now and its still coming down heavy with more too come.

Regarding the thaw, there's 2 break downs before actually warms up, looks like the breakdowns for the snow will miss Leeds.

Enjoy,

Lewis

Sorry could you clarify what you mean in that last statement?

Looks like the whole stretch of coast from Hull upto M'boro has been getting a pasting!

Cal, is in the firing line. If I remember rightly on BBC forecasts it showed it moving ever so slowly east and south and then heading south and west. If the BBC continues to be correct it should stall over Scunny for a few hours before dying. After that passes I will be looking for this Easterly to develop.

Stopped snowing here now as per radar.

Can sheffield be in the fireing line now?, they seem to have missed most of these showers the last few days!

its slowly progressing sw'ards now so doncaster and sheffield will get it im sure! if the streamer holds then it should be good

omg looking to my east i can see the streamer!!! LOOKS BEAUT :D

Seems we have missed out here in Grimsby, a little too east. I ve seen the forecasts and are a little disappointed as to where all the showers have gone that were forecast from the easterly tomorrow. Would love a reply, thanks

This is epic now ! - Anyone want a punt when the winds should be veering ?

Not till later tonight, between 9-12pm at a rough guestimate.

As soon as I see some showers coming from the NE appearing on the RainToday? radar I will get excited, but not before. As things stand atm I just see a streamer running N to S with most/all of it missing my location.
