Decent snow overnight but nothing today with a partial thaw in the sun. We reached the heady heights of 2.8c at one point early this afternoon. I have sympathy with the Grimsby contingent - it's so galling to see the snow to our north, particularly as this event post Christmas so far has been disappointing for snow in Lincolnshire compared to surrounding counties. We might fare batter when the winds back to a more easterly, but given our recent luck, I'm not hugely optimistic.

Rough guess is we've had 4cms this afternoon with more to come.

Family in Catwick, leven have 17cm all level on surfaces now. They keep sending me pictures every time it starts snowing and stops.

Before the snow hit, they had a depth of 10.4cm level.

Hammering it down. Anyone south of Scarborough is in for a treat! I'm at work so can't get out to measure but it's white over. Staff have been sent home and the A64 Is closed at Staxton with several vehicles stuck!

East Yorkshire, Hull - Beverly blah blah will dry up now, and temps will start to drop.

Next time these areas will see snow? good question nothing until tomorrow now i reckon.

Seems we have missed out here in Grimsby, a little too east. I ve seen the forecasts and are a little disappointed as to where all the showers have gone that were forecast from the easterly tomorrow. Would love a reply, thanks

we missed the snow again, but I keep hoping we well get more whistling.gif

Just done THE OFFICIAL RULER measurement and it's 17cms on garden table and 18cms on grass.

That means we had 7cms in about 90 minutes.

I imagine this has got too much of a NE slant to hit S Lincs although there are a few flakes in the air. Maybe something later this evening

Only light flurries near Sleaford. Cloud base not looking too low here so I'm thinking the flakes are been carried a few KM from the NW on the breeze.

7 cm lying though, 2cm fresh today from this mornings showers.
