No such luck with any decent convective showers here in this part of NW England with dull and drizzly damp boring weather with occassional bigger drops of rain

nice pic stephen :shock: I can see the storm that you are having from here. The edge looks about 10 Miles N - N Esat of here by the Dee Estuary. Brilliant lighting from inside the clouds, the clouds are massive and bubbly and black as coal

Theres that much smaller cumulus at lower levels, that I cannot see the Cb's in their entirety.

Though there is a few around my area now.

8c, scattered clouds, some CB's to my west, westerly wind. Only had one heavy shower today so far, but many have drifted past me, at around 5-10 miles to my North :-x

After early heavy showers it has been sunny nearly all day here.

My surprise at this was complete on viewing the radar run showing a band of showers over here at 1500, we had nothing :shock:

Even more annoyed on viewing the lightning to see a load of strikes from the M4 line northwards.

Wind has been very gusty though.

Temp topped at 10c.
