UK Outlook for Sunday 6 Nov 2011 to Sunday 20 Nov 2011:

Typical changeable weather for November is expected with bands of rain moving across the UK from the west and no extreme weather type likely at this stage. There will also be some drier and brighter interludes in between the rainbands. The winds are expected to mostly come from the south or west, which means temperatures should be around, or slightly above, normal for much of the period. However, occasional northwesterly winds may bring somewhat colder air in at times. Rainfall amounts for the whole of the UK across the period are likely to be near normal and sunshine amounts are likely be either near or below normal. Night frosts are expected at times, especially across the north of the UK and in sheltered rural areas where winds fall light.

UK Outlook for Saturday 26 Nov 2011 to Saturday 10 Dec 2011:

The end of November and start of December look set to see some rather changeable weather across the UK, with rain and wind for most parts at times, though some drier and brighter periods are also likely. Total precipitation amounts are likely to be close to or above the seasonal norm and some snow is likely on high ground in the northern half of the UK. Temperatures are expected to be around average but, at this time of year, that typically means single figure maxima and an increasing chance of overnight frosts. A few milder days are still possible, but on the whole it will feel significantly colder than during the current mild spell.

The end of November and start of December look set to see some rather unsettled and changeable weather, particularly towards the north and west, with drier and more settled conditions initially favoured towards the south and east. UK Outlook for Wednesday 23 Nov 2011 to Friday 2 Dec 2011:

It will be a largely unsettled period across the bulk of the UK, with the wettest and windiest weather towards the northwest, with gales and spells of heavy rain most likely here. There will, however, still be some drier and more settled interludes, especially towards the southeast and particularly during the beginning of the period. Temperatures are likely to be above average to start but are likely to be become closer to the norm through the period and it will feel markedly colder than recent days. This will in turn bring an increased risk of frost and fog forming overnight during any more settled spells, as well as a heightened risk of snow over the Scottish mountains.
