Currently clear and frosty with a temperature of -4.2C. Although not that notable compared to some parts its actually the second coldest March night for 23 years already here!

It will be interesting to see what the minimum ends up at, still a couple of hours of cooling to go yet.

-7.1°C at 06:30 this morning: the coldest night of the winter (OK it's Spring I know!) here. The reason I guess is the complete lack of wind and the low DPs. No fog overnight and only a little hoar frost on surfaces.

Interesting diurnal temperature ranges at the mo: I think max yesterday was about 8°C (I am at work at the mo so can't check) so that is a range of 15°C or so. Can anyone do any better?

A cold start with a min of -3c.

Clear and sunny this morning pushing temp up to 7.4c. Now the North Sea low cloud muck has rolled in - the standard state of affairs under easterly driven weather. No doubt it'll last all week too.

The temperature started at -4.7c this morning although there was very little visible frost due to an even lower dewpoint. The day has been clear and sunny, but cloud is now visible to the East. The maximum was 5.6c and it's now 4.8c with 57% humidity.

Bitterley cold start to the day with an overnight min of -7.2C which is even colder than when we had 5 inches of snow cover in Jan! Just a gradual build up of cloud throughout the day but very cold still. Currently 4.8C

Sunny intervals and patchy cloud in Norwich this morning. There were even a few showers dotted about (sleet? snow?) but we missed them, but this afternoon it has degenerated into standard "easterly" fare with stratocumulus. 6C max at Norwich Airport.

Still, can't complain too much- the first 7 days of March were remarkably sunny here.

Another lovely day with unbroken sunshine all day, Feeling cold in the breeze though. There are just a few bits of cloud to the east which looking at the satellite image marks the start of the change that will bring an and to this cloudless weather at the moment.

A continuing breeze through the night prevented us from getting and really low mins here again last night.

Yes, there was a marked temperature-fall as I drove west to work this morning, within a couple of miles it was -6C. Being closer to the coast means its always a little warmer here, though it also stops daytime temperatures climbing so much. This showed with us only reaching 3.2C here yesterday, making it the coldest March maxima since 1996.

Today had a min of -4.5C but quickly clouded over and has remained that way all day. The max temp was 6.3C, so although not too mild for the time of year, gave us a diurnal range of 10.8C.

Yes what makes the large diurnal ranges even more interesting is the still low ish max's today, usually large diurnal ranges give you max's into the 10C+ plus region in March.

More cloud around tonight with the moister easterly flow, still feels very raw out though.

Hi Reef,

Minimum this morning was at 06:44 at -7.3°C and the max was 9.3° at 14:00, a diurnal range of 16.6°C - not bad I feel.

Has been warmer this evening but temp has dropped a degree or so in the last half hour and is now 1.3°C. I presume some cloud breaks have passed over. Might just get a frost though.
