Nice to see the Storm Tracker looking busy, just a shame to be in the blank area between france & northern uk! :wallbash:

Similar to Alza- I didn't actually notice any thunder at Cleadon from this one, just a prolonged moderate to fairly heavy rain shower, presumably the electrification faded as the shower approached, though I have no complaints after the way the previous two showers turned out!

I think someone mentioned about the 'will it thunder' percentage yesterday. The percentage apparently only shows the chance of IF you catch some rain/showers, whats the chance of it being triggered into something more thundery, such as a storm. Think of it as 0% until something actally hits :p

I could be wrong though? i just read another comment about it yesterday somewhere!

If you do get the showers there is still a 49% chance of nothing. The storm risk for up here has been wrong for a long time but the chances are based on the cape and other factors. Last week was a prime example of how quickly things can change

There coming to get you

They're actually all moving North, so only that little one south of my location is set to hit me. As above, Preston has had thunder from this rash of pretty intense cells, but here there's been nothing all day.

Nothing in Warrington, North Cheshire but blue skies overhead. The views to the horizon do show something in store if your in the following locations;-

Dark storm clouds to the North over Lancashire,

Dark to the West over South Merseyside,

Plus a nice anvil formation to my East out over West Manchester,

Enjoy !

It got so dark in the house we had to put the lamps on! Thunder was nice and crackly too, love that noise! So glad my little lad managed to finally see his first storm of the year!! He is only 5 and loves all things weather!

That large amount of rain in the channel sure is sitting there! Anyone down on the south coast know if it is gaining intensity or of a stormy nature? Doesn't seem to be moving at all!
