Today was a much better day than yesterday with some sunshine, The wind took down a few trees apparently two or three blocks on the Dover - Canterbury rail line yesterday. walking to town this morning there was one down at the bottom of the street being chopped up and turned to sawdust. looking like Hurricane Katia will be making a U-Turn shortly and will start heading towards the UK likely clipping Scotland/Ireland. That could turn out to be pretty stormy next week.

Classic sunshine and showers day...but without much sunshine . Bright early morning, mainly cloudy with occasional brighter intervals thereafter and showers, occasionally heavy. Currently overcast, 14.5 deg C, wind moderate W. Today's maximum 17.6, last night's minimum 11.7.

A cloudy morning with frequent light, briefly moderate, showers. Some heavy showers around early this afternoon but they passed a few miles to the north of here and we had only short light-moderate ones with sunny intervals between them.
