Annoyingly, it won't be our first single-digit maximum of the season today whatever happens, because at midnight, it was 10.2º.

Might manage it here, highest temp since midnight so far = 9.1C biggrin.png

Just had a really blustery shower, heavy intense rain with some hail!

Just had a really blustery shower, heavy intense rain with some hail! Now clearing again, anticipating some more heavy showers throughout the afternoon looking at radar.

Clear blue skies here and dry. Was obvious from the outset to me that the showers would concentrate north of here as the wind is too westerly to penetrate the showers down. The same has happened the past 2 winters with that same wind direction- inches and inches of snow just 15 miles north with zilch here.

Well its now 1233 the temp reached a max of 9.6C and has now fallen back so I think I can safely claim a single figure max for today!

Single figure max likely here too!

So far max of 9.c, under showers around 6-7c.

Mixture of hail and some rain with strong gusty winds.

Feels like a wintry old day today!

Autumn has well and truly arrived today with a very strong, gusty and cool WNW wind!

It's actually been quite a sunny morning after early showers but showers are now arriving quickly from the West.

12.1c after being 14.2c 15 minutes ago, humidity 67%.

A mixture of sunshine and showers with a strong and gusty wind. Rather cool at the moment with a temperature of 9.5C after the latest shower passed over. Overnight was actually quite mild so thats the min temp of the day so far. The max was 14.7C at midnight.

As Mr Data says, today at this time is around 18 degrees cooler than Saturday!

It feels colder than it is here, very blustery day, changing from lovely sunshine one moment to overcast and dull the next. Currently 14.6, with a dew point of 5.2. Overnight low of 8.1c which is the coldest it's been in i don't know how long

My favourite type of day! Sunny and cold with several wintry squalls.

Currently 8c under heavy rain and hail showers, was 12c 10 minutes ago in pristine sunshine. Frequent alternating spells, and extremely blustery under the showers. Beauty! Just 5c lower and some snow would have been dominant - but I'll take this weather all winter (maybe some snowy days like this in there aswell).

SW Scotland and N Ireland is currently a melting pot for heavy, heavy showers banding together - aswell as in N Wales, and W Scotland and the NW of England - some very heavy localised showers in the south especially.

I'd expect NE England and NW England to get hit by some showers soon.

Another very windy day with some fierce squalls of rain and hail. I would say October has finally begun, but it feels more like spring than autumn.

lol how about this part of southern NW England- we may aswell be lumped together with the Midlands in this scenario.

The other half was reporting thunder and lightning in Stockport around an hour or so ago.

I'd imagine between 5pm and 6pm you should start seeing some precip, could be very heavy for you by 6pm-7pm. Possibly last a couple of hours if it keeps it's current intensity.
