Yes but it's far more interesting having members post the individual reports in here :)

Of course, yes. Still a nice graphical view of the country, giving an overview of what's going on.

Interesting that it currently indicates snow in Bournemouth and it also indicates it has been snowing in Eastbourne in the last hour? I wonder whether anyone can confirm this. I can't see it as conditions aren't ideal at the minute.

They're mainly observations sent in by the public, so they should be accurate. With the caution of course, that one man's snow, is another man's sleet.

Well, I think it could be severe storms, the latest serious powerful storms will unleash high winds, torrential rain, some snow and severe winds with hurricane gusts just like a Hurricane Ivan was a category 3 hurricane but is not a hurricane. Heavy rains, even a possible enough for flooding will attend the eastward spreads of high winds. Highest fall of rains will be 2 to potentially as much as 4 inches (50-100mm) in Western and Northern France, Northwestern Germany, even into Southern England with even a possible hurricane force winds gusts up to 80 mph, or perhaps more than 100mph winds.

Would you mind explaining where you are getting your information from?

Your images are so quite larger that make me slow and fools.

Maybe you should give the drinks a rest for a bit.

Dew point a bit to high atm David, not to excessive though and evaporative cooling could come into play.

They're generally from people who exaggerate immensely the type of ppn and amount of snow they get.

Whatever anyone reports on there or on here, reduce the snowfall rate and accumulated depth by 75% and you might get close to what, in reality, is the truth.

LOL most people do tend to over estimate snowfall and depths, also likely if they observe sleet falling they will probably claim it's a blizzard! I always take such reports with a pinch of salt, unless of course photographic evidence is available or other people live within the same area and can back them up.

Ok chaps am in Brighton and it is livening up here for sure in last half hour at 830pm I was looking at 3.5 knots now it has just gust to 25.2.

rain in the mix too.

Wind SSE

temp 6.4

Pressure 995.2 (drop 2.6mb/hour)

the other thing is the wind is now veering more easterley - still southerly but more SE and ESE, than SSE

For the benefit of the forum member who was requesting information about the Charente area of France, I came across this marine forcast, cannot vouch for any accuracy nor from where they receive their data, yet this is for Tonnay-Charente which is just a bit inland from Bay of Biscay. The wind speeds can be changed to knots, mph or kmh .. Hopefully their "gust"prediction for early morning is a bit over the top.

http://www.myweather2.com/activity/forecast.aspx?id=176970&map=~/Marine/Global-Ports/France/Tonnay-Charente.aspx

Either way you look at it it's severe, Baton down the hatches and ensure that the roof is firmly attached to the ground i'd guess.
