    Venus may still be just above the horizon also

    I noticed there was a planet or star near the moon earlier, didnt know it was jupiter, its clear here now, certainly worth a closer look.

    Last night was the first night my girls have been able to use their telescope. Their faces said it all when I told them which planet it was. I'm assuming that there was one of the moons in view as well. It does look really bright at the moment.
